January 22, 201313 yr I was always under the assumption that VOIP was disabled for in-flight internet. The reasoning is that it would be the same kind of annoyance to other passengers as someone yapping on the phone. Just for S's and G's, I tried Skyping on a recent flight, and it just wasn't happening. I can't say i've ever imagined the online ATC as sitting on the throne whilst conversing with them...but good for him anyhow. Maybe he'll get an IronMIC award! To keep in line with the OP's question...nope. I spend my flight watching a movie or looking out the window with some tunes in my noice cancelling headphones, enjoying the peaceful break the flight has afforded. Do not judge people until you've walked a mile in their shoes. Then at least you are a mile ahead of them when you ###### them off...
