[RESOLVED] Bad change to forum list

Featured Replies

The forum button has been changed so that instead of going right to the full forum list, there is a bunch of sub-menus. I don't like it, because every day I go to a variety of forums like Hangar chat, FSX, P3D, and it is faster for me to choose my forum from the full list. I liked it better when it was the old way. At least there should be an item in the list that says "full list", although it wold require one more click than before. PUT IT BACK TH3E WAY IT WAS!

I agree that this new design is less aesthetically pleasing and intuitive, but you can just click the large AVSIM logo at the top of the page to navigate to the full forum list.

Thank you for your feedback. We are experimenting and these changes are not intended to be permanent. Please be patient as we continue to enhance your experience here.

Any social network site evolves and there are hiccups to be expected. If we weren't innovative as we are, we'd still be on a legacy webpage. Food for thought.

Sincerely,

Chase

I access the site mostly via an IPad. I noticed that the Forum and File Library menu items do not expand. The other menu items work fine. Also, the main menu items are spanning two row, where before they were all on one row.

Update:

Just saw Tom's post regarding the menus in the other sub forum

Taking into account Tom's announcement, does double tapping work in mobile devices?

Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

Luis,

The double tapping is not working for me today. I am now using Tapatalk, at least it seems to work better than a mobile browser with the current changes.

Well, I tried it, it didn't work: in my tablet double tapping is associated with zoom in/out.

Thank you very much, this helps a lot.
