  1. Check out Jeff Cable's blog regading the Phantom. He is the director of marketing for Lexar and a pro photograher doing events in the San Francisco area and the Olympics. He recently added the Phantom to his equipment list. http://blog.jeffcable.com/search/label/Aerial
  2. Has CNN figured out how to spell "Bowing" yet???
  3. She also was cited in the past for dozing and failing to stop at a station. 10 years living in the Chicago area and I have yet to ride the CTA. Too dangerous from a crime perspective and from an operating perspective.
  4. Can anything be done to prevent replyers from quoting previously posted images already in the post thread?
  5. Thanks! Has anyone noticed that in the Tapatalk Forum/Category level, the New Posts indicators are missing? Once you get down to the post level, the indicator are there.
  6. Have your flown the included tutorials?
  7. Empire Airlines in the early 1980s. The aircraft was a Fokker 28. It was also the shortest route I have every flown, Utica, NY to Syracuse, NY. Time was under 10 minutes. The cabin crew even served apples during the short flight. The full flight route for that day that started with Empire Airlines was: Empire: KUCA-KSYR-KJFK F28 PanAm: KJFK-LSZH B747 PanAm: LSZH-EDDS-EDDT A300
  8. Here is a treaser video from JustPlanes on the Air Canada service to LHR with the A319. <br /><br />
  9. You may know that, but your post and topic title does not indicate it. The Avsim mind reading functionality is enabled at this time.
  10. That is a file photo in the FOX article. If you look closely, you can see the "photoshop" work on the image to remove the American logos. The Spirit aicraft involved was N502NK, an A319-132. http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=163026 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKZBNkniIPA Do not believe everything you see and hear from the mainstream media regarding aviation stories. Stick with aviation related venues for correct aviation news.
  11. Look at all the multiple posts of the same topic by the original poster in the various forums. Another indication of the slowness. The poster does not get a response back in a reasonable amount time and they then start clicking the post button over and over again.
  12. In the past, Mr. Graham has conducted many seminars at Oshkosh. Very interesting to listen to him speak. I even have one of his books signed by him.
  13. The Aviation Safety Network has some details, one that the aircraft pitched up to 25 degrees on the go around attempt. http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20131117-0
  14. This is a hard A380 landing, Oshkosh 2009:
  15. Here is what a remember seeing: http://www.flyertalk.com/the-tarmac/airlines-are-limiting-photography.html
  16. I thought based on some recent articles that American would attempt to have you removed from the aircraft if you used a camera on board.
  17. You mean this: http://t.co/Yyho9d16JG The FA in the middle of the photo was a FA on my EDDM-KORD a couple of weeks ago. The cabin crew was wearing normal uniforms at that time.
  18. I just returned from a KORD-EDDM-KORD trip via Lufthansa Business Class 2 weeks ago. Why do I like them? Service! I only fly them or Swiss, which is owned by Lufthansa, to/from Europe. I will not fly a US- flagged carrier, because their service levels are sub-par.
  19. Tweets from NTSB today: SWA: Altitude was 32 feet, airspeed was 134 knots, and pitch attitude was 2 degrees nose-up 4 seconds prior to touchdown. All approx. At touchdown at LGA, the SWA 737's airspeed was approximately 133 knots and the aircraft was pitched down approximately 3 degrees.
  20. In Switzerland, whether VATSIM or in real life, Swiss controllers will not clear an aircraft to land until it is #1 on final and the previous aircraft, departure or arrival, is clear of the runway. This is quite different from the US where an aircraft is #3 or 4 on final and is cleared to land.
