October 7, 201312 yr BA A380 has a hard landing @ EGLL! I've seen harder... I mean... I've never ever had a landing as hard as that in my career, what a thumper... Rónán O Cadhain.
October 7, 201312 yr Author I've seen harder... I mean... I've never ever had a landing as hard as that in my career, what a thumper... Im agree! Im not one to judge, some of my landings could be recorded as 3 as we bounce down the runway! But I thought this video warrented a YouTube upload! October 7, 201312 yr Obviously the second was much softer but its so hard to judge in a video as to the actual touchdown speed, fpm, runway condition, etc. Mark CYYZ
October 8, 201312 yr The 'hard' impression mainly comes from the sound in my.. eyes. Try watching both without sound. Equalised. ^_^
October 8, 201312 yr I agree with CoolP. It's the sound that gives the impression. I can remember many 747 landings I experienced that sounded the same ---- like all the galley stuff fell on the floor!

October 8, 201312 yr Mind you that you are only allowed to film favourable impressions. ^_^ Just reacting to something I've read in another thread regarding the various bindings on taking photos and things. Modern world, eh? I've never ever had a landing as hard as that in my career, what a thumper... That's your noise cancelling headset, Rónán. You couldn't hear the screams. Technology!
