October 1, 201312 yr Ralph (Sheik) Aarts already with a reputation and large fan following, experiencing the effects of high 'G' at RIAT Fairford but watch him use Negative 'G' at 08.38. Amazing video showing the pressures on young fast jet pilots. Fantastic and addictive viewing. Please don't watch with a full stomach. Dave Taylor

October 1, 201312 yr A remarkable video- I continue to be amazed that the pilot can maintain situational awareness given the pummeling his body is taking. A long time ago I played with aerobatics on my FS triple screen setup. Even with no physical motion, the optics alone would occasionally leave me a bit queasy. I decided then to decline any invitation to ride as a fighter passenger at airshows! Flying an Immelmann manoeuvre in FS9 was stomach churning! january (Inverted over CYYJ. The horizon appears to bend in screenshots because they don't take into account the physical positioning arc of the monitors.)
October 1, 201312 yr Nice, but it doesn't top Eagle Cam!!!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
October 2, 201312 yr I agree, It's a fantastic video, clearly showing the stress on the airframe and the vortices the amount of 'G' that seems to present throughout the display. I bet he doesn't eat much before doing that. In the reverse G his face turns the same colour as his shirt. :Whew: George T
October 19, 201312 yr Author I wonder how many of us would agree to change places with him? Be honest now. :yahoo: Dave Taylor
October 20, 201312 yr Nice video. Too bad the sound tape doesn't include the pilot breathing (very informative about the physical stress level and the way the pilot manages it). Rgds, Bruno
October 20, 201312 yr I watched that "after" lunch! I always advise people who fly with me to have a good breakfast. And I never carry sick bags. Consequently no-one ever has air sickness. It also brough back memories of when many years ago I had a ride in an E.E. Lightning! No computers to help you in that aircraft! October 20, 201312 yr Having done some aerobatics in a Mustang, I can appreciate what the pilot feels like in these maneuvers, and I didn't go through half the G's he's pushing!!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
