February 9, 201313 yr Author Well, it's not up to OrbX standards for sure. Some areas look ok, some look very generic. I made a test flight from Hannover, which is a payware airport and not included in this product. Thanks for sharing the video. Some of the textures do look artificial and over-saturated, but hopefully these issues will be addressed shortly. If it was easy to replicate FTX regions, other Devs would have been able to do it a long time ago. I'll wait for FTX Global. True. I am more interested in how the latest GEX version will compare to FTX Global.
February 9, 201313 yr Moderator You guys should see the ORBX Global comparison shots to DEX posted in the ORBX forum. They did some side by side shots and DEX looks horrible, especially down low. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
February 9, 201313 yr I don't see a big difference, except in the FTX Global screenshots they're using better water sliders and an ENB mod.

Maybe we both looked at different threads, but the one comparison I saw was night and day, especially down low. DEX looked like FS9 at low altitude and the autogen annotation wasnt great either. February 9, 201313 yr Jeez - that video just about sums Aerosoft up in 10 minutes for me - its either brilliant.....or its a complete dog!! There is rarely (imo) any middle ground with them and considering that Mathijs states "We knew about the weaker areas and they had been worked on in the last week" they still released it!! Having said that. parts of it look pretty good (the sandbars and some of the coastlines) but other parts just look plain awful and you can't see past those bits (the lime green fields!!)I I appreciate that Aerosoft is the publisher BUT how that can get past their Quality Assurance to release is unbelievable. Kudos to them though for pulling the product - even if you ignore the fact that they knowingly released a dog!! Regards Steve
February 9, 201313 yr http://www.flightx.de/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=51765 141 posts and counting with lots of screenshots. Something looks terribly wrong, either it's the product or someone can't set up their FSX right (the latter not being entierly unrealistic). Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
