February 12, 201313 yr The DR400 really is superb and as light as any aircraft (even the default C172) on my system. But it has a lot of depth and features, so it so much better than the default aircraft. On my system the RealAir Legacy and the DA20 are not far off eachother, performance-wise, but the Legacy is definitely a little lighter on performance. I only own the above listed 5 aircraft addons at present, but if I had to choose only 1 to fly, it would be the DR400. I'm somewhat surprised that you would prefer the DR400 over Lancair Legacy and that the latter is not harder on fps than DA 20-100 Katana X. Does not the Legacy have more high resolution and sharper textures than the DR400 ? Also does it not have a more advanced flight model and more sounds compared to the DR400. But my experience is also that planes are not the big fps killers but rather scenery complexity and clouds and proximity to big city areas.

I guess the salient point for me is that all these planes (except the SR22) run great and there is not a lot between them, performance-wise. My preference for the DR400 is, as explained earlier, solely because it is a training type aircraft, as I am used to in real world flying.
August 2, 20169 yr Commercial Member Word of warning, this doesn't work with P3D V3. Which is a shame. Hmmm tried it? What is the issue? Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
August 3, 20169 yr It doesn't taxi. At all. You can slew into the air, or change 'planes in the air, and it flys well. But, land it and it slides to halt as if the parking brake is on. And then won't budge. I've very recently had boot drive faliure which has resulted in starting over again, so I bought this as a treat. Fortunately, I got a refund and am now looking for another GA aircraft to treat myself with.

Shame, I wanted to fly that beauty again in P3D. EDIT: According to this video, everything is working fine in P3D: I noticed that he is fiddling with speed brake every time before he released/applied parking brake? Strange. August 3, 20169 yr The Robin is working in my P3D v2.5 and v3.3. When I come across 'stuck aircraft syndrome' I reduce the payload (not fuel) to 0. That almost always gets it moving. Intel I7-4770 3.4Ghz 16 Gb RAM nVidia GTX770 2Gb Windows 8.1 64 bit P3D 4.4/3.4 FSX SE
