KMEM MD parking spots

Featured Replies

Hi All

Does anyone know off the top of their head what Cargo spots I should be using to get the Fedex MD away from the Caravan parking places jammed between two buildings I tend to get (trial and error thus far) at default KMEM?

Thanks

Hi Mike,

Are you getting spots assigned by default FSX ATC? They tend to not really know what is going on...

Google earth the airport, the hardstands usually have several aircraft.

Hi

Sorry, I mean when I select a starting point from the menu. I don't normally take much notice of ATC when it doesn't tell me what I want to hear. ;-). We've all been there.

Cheers

Does this help? http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1302/00253AD.PDF (free online chart of the airport). See the top left of the chart.

Or are you trying to figure what FSX spots are for FedEx? If it's the latter, then the only way I know of in default airfields is trial and error, beyond selecting cargo ramp that is.

Some payware and freeware airports, and AFCAD updates list the spots better to coincide with the chart, but even that can be hit and miss.

Hope this helps, even a little.

Thanks. I was using that chart and Google to get an idea. I'll go back to the trial and error. I think I'll use the trike for it. That should be less taxing on the poor PC. Will post if I can work something out.

Cheers

Cheers.

I think the main variable here is which AFCAD file you have. Some place new parking areas and some take away. There are a few programs that allow you to look at the spots and placements of the AFCAD. FED EX is kinda secret about there flight plans, routes and many other details about the hub in MEM. Thanks to a package that looked like printer ink they have really put the screws to security. It is understandable and remember the pics on G earth are usually around a year old. That too is for security. Good luck my man, if you would like some help PM me and I will see what we can come up with outside of the forum. Cpt out.

Well... They're dotted throughout the GXXX gates. G100 is one. ~G110 would do for a 727. Those between are C208 spots between the buildings. G121 is another heavy spot. ~G60 looks the go as well.
