February 26, 201313 yr Not sure if this has been posted before, I am sure it has, but a search brought up a ton of results and I did not see anything. I was found this information from Boeing on Cost Index (CI) and how it is used within the FMC. Shows some good comparisons as well as the different effects of changing the CI has on aircraft performance. http://www.boeing.co...07_article5.pdf Oh and if this doesn't belong in the FSX forum, I apologize and please move to a more appropriate forum. February 27, 201313 yr I've seen this before somewhere, but thanks for linking it anyhow-I couldn't find it anywhere! "If you can't solve and equation with calculus, you're not using enough calculus" - A wise friend
March 13, 201313 yr Brilliant Find! Thank you. I will be sure to read over this. Crazy to think that some aircraft go from 0 to 9999. This has always been complicated to calculate and be realistic in the sim. March 15, 201313 yr Wow, it's incredible to think that extending the flight time of a 737-700 on average by 3 minutes per flight can result in fuel cost savings of almost 2 million dollars!
