Saitek with PMDG

Featured Replies

G'day

I have been looking around at some Saitek gear for my flight sim FSX and I would like to know if Saitek works with PMDG NGX, 747X

Looking at getting Saitek Pro Flight Radio Panel PZ69 and Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel PZ55 plus the Saitek pro flight multi panel PZ70.

I just would like to know if most of the buttons will work as you would think they should. PMGD's are not your stock FSX jets.

I do have plans to use it with other PW stuff Airbus and that other retarded 777 that's out till the PMDG one is done.

I'm only asking for PMDG but if you happen to know if the new Aerosoft bus works it would be good to know and it would save me having to asked in the other forums.

I do have the Saitek pro flight system and I know that all works.

1) PMDG

2) Aerosoft

3) well that's my problem

Thanks Darryl

Well Villan,

Thats a really good question, i have that setup, and for the life of me the only switches or buttons that work on those panels are:

- Gear Lever

- Flaps Setting

I have Googled it int oblivion and still cant to see a way of having the swithes intergrate with PMDG or any other product except for the boring default aircraft of FSX.

Maybe PMDG can give us some pointers.

Thanks Guys!!

I have the J41, 747X, and NGX. I use the Saitek yoke system (including the seperate throttle) and I have no problem at all. As a matter of fact I reset it between the jets and the J41 because I use the same lever for speedbrakes (Jets) Props (J41). I have all buttons assigned. I just wish there were more buttons.

Great Product.

Thanks,

Ron

Home of SPAD (Saitek Panels Advanced Drivers).

I played around with this when I had some Saitek Panels.

Can't remember how well it all worked together on the 747, but I seem to remember thinking it had promise.

Didn't stop me selling the saitek panels, though, as I thought they were crap.

I know its possible (using pmdgs options) to set key combinations to perform certain aircraft specific actions (flaps up/down, AT toggle, AP disconnect etc)  You can then have FSUIPC make a joystick button actually send that key combination into fsx, which is interpreted by the PMDG aircraft...make sense? lol

My first thought would also be to do as Chris suggests. PMDG options in combination with FSUIPC. I don't see why that shouldn't just work.

I have the pro flight yoke system and pedals, also the radio panel. I use SPAD instead of the Saitek drivers. I calibrate everything through FSUIPC and everything works perfectly with the NGX.

What's the benefit of the SPAD drivers please?

It's for panels only right?

I think it's for the panels. The benefit is that it allows you to configure your Saitek Panels to work with more advanced addon aircraft such as PMDG ones, by default usually on flap and gear levers work with these advanced birds..

Thanks
