March 26, 201313 yr Hello guys, When flying the PMDG 737NGX at dusk and night I have some strange lights dots on the top of my screen. They are the same color of the flood light i'm using in the cockpit when it's dark. It sometimes flashes and its really annoying. Someone who can help me? Thanx!
March 26, 201313 yr Flying saucers from outer space! (No sorry could not resist ) Have you tried an other graphics driver? Robert
March 26, 201313 yr Commercial Member FSX does this to me on occasion when I switch between programs while in full screen mode. Kyle Rodgers
March 26, 201313 yr I only use FSX as i play it (and active sky). But I never switch between programs while in full screen mode. When I pan around a bit the dots are gone. But when I set it to a view a while the dots will appear again unfortunately
March 26, 201313 yr Noticed that sometimes It is a bar of dots, showing in this screenshot Noticed that sometimes It is a bar of dots, showing in this screenshot Black on top of picture is my monitor by the way, below that you can see a line
March 27, 201313 yr In my experience, artefacts like those are generated by Nvidia video cards when certain types of anti-aliasing are enabled. Try disabling AA or selecting a different algorithm to see if that helps.
March 27, 201313 yr Hmm, I'm using kind of settings in my NVIDIA inspector. Will try other settings this evening.
March 27, 201313 yr I have this also in some of the planes i own. Mostly at night. As I use TrackIR, I have developed an extremely nice fix - simply look up or down a bit and the dots are gone. Bartłomiej Ender
March 27, 201313 yr Hahaha, thats right. But when I look up again (which is necessarry sometimes) the dots will apppear after some time
March 27, 201313 yr check your video card CPU temperature. I experienced a similar phenomenon when the video card CPU's fan stop work Sagi Yanay, VATIL NGX Driver
March 27, 201313 yr Hmm, dont think it has to do with that. I have water cooled pc so my cooling is good
March 27, 201313 yr Water cooled GPU? Sagi wrote CPU instead of GPU,I guess. Check if your GPU´s (videocard) cooling is working, guess you have the problem there.... Goran Arvnell
March 27, 201313 yr Commercial Member Guys, I've seen this before with the card properly cooled, working normally. It's okay. It's unfortunate, but it's okay. If you switch to windowed mode, you'll note that it disappears, so it's not a hardware malfunction/damage/cooling issue. Kyle Rodgers
