List of Planes We'll Never See as High Quality Payware

Featured Replies

Sadly, here is a list of aircraft we will probably never see made for FSX in high quality (no "lite" products or portovers.).

1. CRJ-200 (and 700/900 for that matter)

This plane belongs at the top of the list because everyone in America sees this plane daily at their local airports large or small. It is a true developer disgrace that this aircraft has never been created for FSX.

Other aircraft we will probably never see:

2. Airbus A340

3. Dash 8-200

4. ATR 42/72

5. 747-200/300

6. Boeing 717

7. Saab 340

8. DC-10

9. C-17

And, of course, Gulfstream - but we all know why with that one.

This list is especially unfortunate considering all the duplicates that have been or are being developed.

Post others that should be on the list.

FSX: PMDG 744/MD11/JS41/736/737/738/739, CS752/753/763/C130, SimCheck A300, Leonardo MD82, MJC DH8D, Aerosoft CRJ7/CRJ9/A318/A319/A320/A321, RAZBAM Metroliner, ORBX Global, FlyTampa KBUF/OMDB/TNCM/VHHX, ActiveSky Next

DCS: A-10C II/F-16C/AH-64D/F-15E/KA-50 III/Mi-24/Persian Gulf/Syria/F-15C

XP11: FF 752/753, iniBuilds A306, HotStart TBM900

MSFS: Fenix A320, FS2Crew Fenix A320, FS2Crew Pushback Express, PMDG B77W, ActiveSky FS, Drzewiecki Design UUEE

Actually that list is much bigger, in fact, every aircraft that is not developed nor in development in High quality belongs to this list.

It's too bad you don't care.

The legendary DC-3/C-47 really deserves Accusim or PMDG treatment.  A similar quality Beech 18 package is at the top of my list too.

This topic makes me think of FSD's MU-2 and JetStar.

Me too. I don't know how I manage to cope with such a tragedy.

You can add almost all Russian airliners to that list too.

I have several of those planes in the list in my hanger already, and I find them very high quality for the price I paid, and suitable for use. Maybe I misinterpret the "high quality" part of the statement? do you mean high quality payware? I wouldn't classify the circumstances of not having payware for each of these a/c as tragic....more like unfortunate perhaps?

Do not judge people until you've walked a mile in their shoes. Then at least you are a mile ahead of them when you ###### them off...

The Boeing 717 and CRJ are the only two on your list that I would probably care about. And honestly it doesn't bother me much that they haven't been developed.  Though I do believe there is a pretty good CRJ payware add-on for X-Plane that approaches PMDG quality.

trag·ic

Adjective:
Causing or characterized by extreme distress or sorrow.

Is this what it means to be a "hardcore simmer"?

The second one.

I think that is the term that aptly applies to the better half of a hardcore simmer...

Example: Her situation became tragic once her husband discovered flight simming.

Do not judge people until you've walked a mile in their shoes. Then at least you are a mile ahead of them when you ###### them off...

No, in that case her situation became less so, because she could count on where and what her husband was doing.
