  1. O.K. I'm hooked. Now I've gotta see if the new Lady Penelope still has Parker!
  2. That happened to me too, never did find a way around it, so I uninstalled it and went with the settings tutorial on AvSim's DX10 page and I am happy and FSX is stable.
  3. Hi Ryan! I'll take you up on your offer of Duluth! I've got the Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit sceneries from Aerosoft's U.S. Cities collection. My favorite flight is Sturgeon Bay (KSUE) to Ludington (KLDM) at Dawn in the Summer. I was fortunate enough to get the old Megascenery Lake Michigan set with Night Lighting before it went away. Now if someone could just make the Car Ferry and some Great Lakes Ore Boats. - Don
  4. I would also look forward to the HFB-320 Hansajet that FS-Berlin apparantly got started on, those forward-swept wings and they way the tip-tanks are positioned give it a racy look. Granted, it was for FS9, but maybe someone would pick up the torch and improve it to FSX DX10 levels.
  5. This topic makes me think of FSD's MU-2 and JetStar. - Don
  6. This is what I have built recently and it runs quite well with DX10. My system consists of an Antec 300-2 Case, Intel Z77GAL-70K Mobo, Intel i7-3770K Proc @ 4.2, Water cooled with Thermaltake "Performer", matched 8GB pair PNY memory @ 1600, EVGA NV660 GTX 2G run at performance level "0" which is max clock and memory speeds with fan set to run @ 62%, Seagate Barracuda 2TB HD with 64MB cache, 7200 RPM. Win7-64 OS. I had a 6770 card previously in another build, and it was capable, but just could not tweak it enough with ATI's drivers to finally rid FSX of the dreaded shimmering. The GTX 660 2-Gig card is an excellent performer and the latest nVidea Inspector will allow you to tweak it just right. - Don

This sounds like it would make a good kickstarter project. - Don
  8. Just wanted to say A BIG THANKS TO ALL because with this post I finally stumbled upon the magic combination (Eddie's N.I. settings) that took care of the Preview Window jaggies and incredibly fluid flight at a steady 30 fps, except when I am over an Aerosoft U.S. City, then it drops to the low 20's, but I'll take it! I am using some of Bojote's mods, like AM 84, but not BP=0, rather a PoolSize=2500000000, UsePools=1, RejectThreshold=524288, TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80, FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.20. What a great Forum, what a great Hobby! Thanks to all!
  9. When the day comes that I leave FS9, it will be for X-Plane.
  10. I had this problem after I installed the majestic Digital Aviation Cheyenne. I went to my SoundBlaster Live diagnostics and let it fix the problem it found and all was well from then on.
  11. I'm running the same settings on my 7950 GT 512 in a Dell 410 with 2.14 Duo. I also use nHancer to "enforce" the settings and provide crisp scenery and sharp aircraft.
