Hi, Avsim front news:We are extremely excited to report that Microsoft just annouced the upcoming FS2004 Update during their presentation at the AVSIM 2004 Conference. It is expected to be available at the end of September or early in October, as some fixes are still being wrapped up, but in the meantime, let us report on some of the features it brings, like all of the 160 missing bridges, new autogen objects for KJFK, enhanced frame rates and product stability as well as increased terrain data support from 76 meter to 19 meter elevation data. Check out our 2004 conference postings forum for some pictures of the announcement presentation. Remember, you heard this first on AVSIM.Microsoft do care about their users! :-coolThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Hi, you have told us:"He was showing off new skytextures and clouds that will be included with the patch. Why don't you all go looking for yourself?"Maybe with luck? the screenshots was simply default stuff and reduced clouds, Nothing related to the patch from the avsim detailed conference at all. Still Ms employes are around the world and do not means are direct related to fs team at redmond and works at redmond.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Yeaahhhh, the autogen bug will be fixed!! (a bug of which many said, it would not exist :-) )Thanks MS

well, it aint out yet, still some issues to include, so we'll see what's in it in about 2-3 weeks :)Jan Roar R

Anyone using Visual Flights VFR UK terrain, the words "Yeehaa" are in order. Their changing the resolution to 19M FS2002 style!!! Great news, I can't wait.RegardsRhydian

Howdy,Just hope one of them 160+ bridges is New Zealand's Auckland Harbour Bridge (but somehow I doubt it :-( ).

Funny Jan--You're still acting like you are privy to info that Chris--who had participated in the original FS2004 beta--isn't. That will be the day. I'm with Chris in saying yours was nothing but a lucky guess, especially in light of the timing of your original post. Patch rumors for FS2004 have surfaced since shortly after its release. As well as those saying Microsoft would never patch FS2004. Both camps had an equal chance of being right. Lets simply celebrate the good news and leave it at that...-John

But wait! MS is just a cynical, money-hungry megacorp with no interest in listening to us users! They can't release a patch!heh, seriously though this is really great news. I've already gotten tons (and I mean tons) of enjoymeny out of this product, and if the patch cleans up a few of the rough edges it's gonna be even that much better. Can't wait...
