April 9, 201313 yr I'm in the same boat. I have read a lot about some of these shortcomings for XPlane, and it is probably what keeps me from taking the plunge. Small fixes in V10 are not going to convince me just yet. Looking forward to seeing them prosper and move on to V11.Well it's good to know that there are at least two of us out there.
April 10, 201313 yr Well it's good to know that there are at least two of us out there. Make that three Saving that for XPXI. Have they confirmed that or is it just an estimation? Jehan Kateli
April 10, 201313 yr I agree with the airport comments. AM can make a plausible world, but not make plausible airports in that world….this makes no sense.

Have they confirmed that or is it just an estimation? Actually it was just wishful hoping on my part. I expect this will happen some day as it looks like FSX won't be having any new versions. I am so ready for a 64 bit simulator that will make use of modern day computer architecture.
April 10, 201313 yr Commercial Member it looks like it'll be a collaborative approach where lego airports will be designed by users submitted and will be incorporated into frequent tiles which will slowly replace installed sceneries. http://developer.x-plane.com/ Currently selling most of my personal hardware! April 10, 201313 yr And as noted in the developer blog, the 10.21 beta is now available to those who check off the (Beta) box in the installer/updater package. What's most interesting to me is that the first "lego brick" airport has been included as a bit of a test - KATL Atlanta, GA. With the chatter on the dev blog about OSM recuts and the moves towards opening the door towards more airports with structures, maybe... just maybe... No. I refuse to get too excited. Just in case.

KATL looks good, we're getting there slowly....baby steps  10.30 will be the best beta :good:
April 10, 201313 yr This Sim is not perfect,We all know and understand that. But it is being constantly developed and refined,How about instead of focusing on the things we don't have,Why not use and enjoy the things we Do have. I can go and download dozens of freeware airports that are really well done that give me that "being there" feel and fly for months without using the same one twice, also as we've seen from truscenery the payware products are picking up steam as well. This is very true. X-Plane 10 is coming along fantastic, especially in the last few months. The addons for it are amazing. Between Aerosoft, Carenado, TrueScenery, JRollon, FlyJSim and many more, plus now World Traffic is about to be released and will be developed into a full flege AI program like Ultimate Traffic or MyTraffic. The future is looking so bright for X-Plane, I have to ware sunglasses when I fly it. As far as that phony law suit against Laminar, I don't believe that will even rock the boat at all. Most companies end up fighting law suites every now and then, and it rarely bankrupts them (unless they are an airline or builder). For one thing, even if you loose, you don't have to pay them off all at once. Robert Yunque
April 10, 201313 yr FSXman, you can actually turn on sunglass mode while flying in X-Plane, lol. But yes I totally agree! X-Plane is definitely shaping up nicely, and I'm excited in its future as well.
