Honestly, whenever one of "our" topics is going south we all wish someone with some authority would step in ... occasionally, anyway. (This time we want to fight on our owns but next time could be a totally different story ...) The other side of the story is, we join a topic, closely monitored by AVSIM staff ("Risk Of Closure") and hope to get our point of view squeezed into it despite all the fighting that's going on already ... Moderating these forums is a tough job, because mods will ALWAYS be wrong - no matter whether they step in or just let it go on. From my point of view ... (less posts than the two of you, less time spent here than both of you - wait! You're opponents as far as this topic is concerned!!!) ... again, from my point of view, mods here have been doing a damn good job overall: Not stepping in too early, not closing threads too early, seldom deleting posts (rarely my posts, anyway ... ;-) ). This place is pretty much handled in a democratic way - just cutting tops, where necessary. Shame, I didn't start this thread myself. So I can only second that 'Thank you!' ... What happened to AVSIM

April 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member I agree, when I compare Avsim to one Finnish flight simulation & aviation forum with relatively lazy admins the difference is just huge. Avsim is surely the best moderated major forum I've ever used, I highly appreciate it.
