Virtual CDU for iOS released

Definitely a fullscreen Ipad IMO.

I use it on an iPad Mini. No problems at all. I found the Full iPad too big for everything else I do.</blockquote>

Thanks for your opinions. Since I don't already own one, and I'm probably only going to use for this purpose (for now, at least) I was most interested in getting the screen size that will most accurately replicate a real CDU.

One more for the tiebreaker!</blockquote>

If, as you say, you will mainly use it for this purpose the full size iPad definitely is the more realistic option. The smaller footprint of the mini means you are more likely to carry it around with you more since it fits in your pockets. I have two iPad's but intend to get the mini for my RL flying.

For the tiebreaker...

When I was constructing my cockpit I managed to find some plans for the 737 the length of the FMC panel was given as 250mm this is the total panel size therefor the internal dimensions are smaller.

Measuring the iPad and the mini, only the first one fits the space.

Just for completeness... I wanted a mini but because the wife was finding the iPad too bulky and extremely heavy. She had the new mini and I got the hand me down. I do have to agree with her it is a bit of a handful.

team

thanks

for now, cheers
