Q400 Bouncing at Startup

Featured Replies

I too have this problem to the point where it is impossible now to use the aircraft at all as it bounces itself off of the ground as soon as it's loaded up. I have tried all of the tweaks and suggestions on here including switching off auto-save in FSUIPC but still the problem persists.

When looking from the outside view the Wheels are going up and down rapidly but the rest of the undercarriage is stationary. if I load up a previous flight (the demo delivery one) which I'd saved whilst at the end of the runway awaiting TO clearance then the aircraft will bounce and leave the ground and fly around like a kite in a hurricane.

Which sim are you using? If you have installed it into fsx as well as p3dv2, both sims need to be installed on the same hard drive. (security feature)

regards, Jazz.

I assume, BrianT, that you are using the latest version 1.009? Only other thing I can think of that could cause this, is to make sure that the Q400 was installed as admin, and to run fsx as admin. I would email Majestic support, maybe/surely they will have some suggestions.

Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.

Try uninstalling a reinstall. Its a registry deal.

Sorry yes I'm running 1.09 and everything I do on here is as Admin, I'm going to try un-installing and re-install the dash next and then it's email Majestic now their website is back up.

I have fought this bouncing issue since day one. I have seen several fixes but no long term solution from Majestic. I gave up trying but had hoped one of the many revisions would have solved this issue. This is not new it became obvious the first day of release. I should have got a refund a long time ago! Does anyone know how to sole this with FSX. Turning down tests elation seems to work with P3Dv2.

Given that in P3D turning tesselation down seems to help. In FSX I tried moving the sler for mesh complexity down further and further to the left. Now at a mesh complexity of 16, the bouncing has completely stopped! What happens tomorrow, who knows, but no pirates at the moment.

Forget that. Did not work. Back to stomping the gear. Nose wheel buried in the Tarmac. I really give up

Sorry guys I should have replied sooner but I had no need to contact Majestic as an uninstall and re-install of the Dash fixed my problem.

Unfortunately I have tried removing and reinstalling so many times they now say I have exceeded my download authorizations. Maybe I should email majestic. Anybody know who to contact to open a ticket. I say I am just going to walk away from this problem, but you now it was expensive!

Lee Stubblefield

Go onto Majestic's website to open a ticket. you don't need to download a new copy every time either. once you've downloaded a copy keep it on a cd file size is only 379MB

With the help of Magestic Support I have my Dash 8 sitting on the tarmack once again. Yea. All these other cures are nonsense, as I thought. Support got me straighten out. Thanks

Lee Stubblefield

As our cures were.....apparently all nonsense (even though they worked for us) Care to share your miracle cure or is a secret? :)

This nothing more than anti piracy issue. Also I mistakenly thought I could have both the FSX and the P3d installed. I was mistaken. It works well in each sim but not both. Choose which one you like. If you sent a support ticket to Magestic they will straighten it right out for you. I hope I am not sharing information they want kept quite. Start the sim load the dash. When it starts to act up, use slew to stop it from bouncing, then use F1 to get it back on the ground. Go inside to the panel view. Observe the HSI. If it is off center, angled or upside down this means the product was not installed correctly, with the right permission. If the HSI is correct and level you have a valid install.

PS, I have my FSX and P3d on two different drives. Perhaps it will work in both sims if they are on the same drive. Seems to me I had it that way at one time. As one person says it will, I don't know. I had it FSX yesterday. Deleted that, and installed it into P3d along with the FScrew2 add on. It works just fine and I have used it in both sims. Not just at the same time.
