May 14, 201313 yr Who's going to replace him??? That would be up to the board of directors because MS is a publicly traded company. Ballmers numbers speak for himself and he cannot be CEO forever. MS needs a 'Lee Iacocca' type CEO to replace him, someone from within like Iacocca was and knows the company, how to fix it, and take it forward. Steve Jobs did the same for Apple upon his reluctant return to the company and he did it for $1 a year in the begining and refused to be paid, or be given the title CEO, he wanted to be an advisor but reluctantly took the title iCEO (seems fitting now considering the iMAC, iPOD, iPAD, iPhone but unrelated). The i stood for interim CEO  I don't see Bill Gates returning as a CEO like Steve Jobs did. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
May 14, 201313 yr Bought MS stock in 2006 got better returns buying tobacco stocks that explains why Ballmer needs to go, and the fact Microsoft is too big to be nimble and flexible in the fast changing tech industry. Windows 8 is like New Coke everybody that used windows in the last 20 years knows it. Where the start button?

Ray Ozzie or Steven Sinofsky are both good candidates as they both understand the enterprise market which is at the core of Microsoft's business. Sinofsky brought Windows 7 to market on-time and on-budget and while it was basically Vista with a face lift, the face lift was good enough for consumers to move to 7 in droves making MS a good bit of money. They do need a Jobs-like person to get their mobile division moving in the right direction as that's really their biggest most glaring problem right now. Oh, and whoever thought that getting rid of the start button and making the Metro UI the default UI on a desktop system was a good idea should be taken out behind the dog house in Redmond and shot multiple times  Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
May 14, 201313 yr Ray Ozzie or Steven Sinofsky are both good candidates ... But they are both gone now. I know the second one was in charge of Windows 8 until he was finally sacked. Who else? Here is where the ball is (give of take) at the present time: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/11/14/microsoft-puts-two-women-in-charge-of-windows.html Cheers,
May 14, 201313 yr No wonder all the whooping and jumping he does for the amount of money he is paid. I'd do the same.
