May 22, 201313 yr Author Does that apply if I have any piece of ORBX scenery installed? Thanks for the heads up If you have any of the Orbx scneries installed then you will automatically have FTX Central. Just choose default prior to installing anything else other than Orbx sceneries and you should be OK. May 24, 201313 yr Author Righto, I'm planning on picking up FTX: England tomorrow or thereabouts. Thanks for the help! Hi Aamir, actually I was wrong, well not completely wrong, but I failed to mention that there is a patch that has been released by the developer, which deals with the autogen disappearing issue. I suggest you read this... http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/68354-skiathos-x-mykonos-x-orbx-ftx-eu-compatibility-patch/?hl=skiathos HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776

May 24, 201313 yr Howard Your ground textures always look beautifully crisp compared to mine, would you kindly share your fsx.cfg and in-game slider settings? I've read all of the tweaking guides etc but still can't get the ground looking as blurrie-free as I'd like! Thanks Martin

I've read all of the tweaking guides etc but still can't get the ground looking as blurrie-free as I'd like! Thanks Martin Hi Martin, two things... first, I do add slight sharpening to my pics via Photoshop, so that may have an effect. Although to be honest, these screenies in particular show sharp terrain because, basically the textures are at 0.3 -0.5 resolution, which is pretty high for photoscenery. As for settings, are you running your 680 via Inspector or through the default control panel? Anistropic filtering if set to application controlled will give better performance over water but if controlled within Inspector it will improve distant textures a very small tad. For me it's a no brainer and so I always retain FSX controlled Ainstropic filtering. If you need some further help just PM me. In the meantime, here are my FSX settings, cfg and Inspector settings... May 24, 201313 yr Many thanks Howard. I'll have a look at my settings this evening and see how they compare! I have been running my CPU at standard clock recently because I had some trouble overclocking, but think I now have a stable OC at 4.3Ghz so that may help. Martin

Martin Hi Martin, your overclock won't have any effect on the sharpness of the image, it's the graphic card's ability and it's settings that will affect the look of the image on screen  HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
