PMDG 737NGX - Problem with VC Cockpit - No Textures

Featured Replies

Hello

ive installed my FSX after 2 years again.

after i installed the PMDG 737NGX i was surprised how the VC looked
there are black Textures, transparent Parts, gauges are missing or not clickable. (see Link)

i don;t know why?!? this was not the first time i installed the PMDG 737NGX

MyRig is fresh installed, Win7 64 Bit, 1 SSD for System, 1 SSD for FSX
Nvidia 570GTX, 16GB Ram and a 4Core i7 <a href="mailto:920@3,2Ghz">920@3,2GhzCPU

Also installed is DirectX 9,29, and the Redistr. Files.  (Strange, with the DX10 Preview Mode, the Cockpit looked completed, but no click was possible?!?!)

I tested with a new and old Nvidia Driver

have installed the download Version of PMDG 737NGX + SP1c in a separate ssd Drive
ive done these 3 times

no Chance, everytime the virtual Cockpi looks horrible and unplayable

What is wrong here?!?! The Product Activation  was ok, no Errors during Installation

The fsx.cfg was renewed by FSX System. (The one Bojote fsx,cdg was tested too)

Now i have a beautifull and Frame friendly FSX, BUT NO PMDG 737NGX :-)

Hope somebody has an Idea, i have already openened a ticket in the PMDG Support section

Have you set up your FSX installation according to the PMDG-737NGX-Introduction.pdf? Are you running FSX as an administrator?

and of course is hires in the VC settings active

Thanks all for the fast replies!

i´m waiting since 3 days for the PMDG Professionals to get a solution.

I spend so many days to make a perfect Installation of my FSX PC, and now i can´t use my best Airplane :-(

Hope to get other ideas...

Is 4096 set as MAX_TEXTURE_LOAD ?

Yes set 4096, and i re-create a new fsx.cfg to test.

Make sure the 2D Panel Transparancy  setting is 0 and you have the High Resolution 3 D VC checked in the Settings-Aircraft in FSX

Yes Rob,

the  Transparency is 0 and hires 3D VC

the PMDG Support Team suspects a hardware Problem...

i think i must re-install everything from the beginning. Also my Win7  :-(

next week is reserved for this...

Is 4096 set as MAX_TEXTURE_LOAD ?

Why is that necessary ? I noticed that there is no difference between 1024 and 4096. I read on this forum quite a while ago that you do not need 4096 in the fsx.cfg for the NGX. And I am sure it was Tabs that posted that. Only required for the likes of REX HD textures and FSDT LAX etc. This was confirmed after the Intro manual was released.

Re-install NGX, or use reapair function first. Just to eliminate missing texture/bad install

Try to do this with antivirus of, just to be sure

Before you do this, you should try a very simple Windows errors check and repair - just type in command prompt: sfc /scannow

This will add/replace any missing/corupted windows DLL

This is if you think windows 7 is the problem.

BTW, do you use EZDOK or someting else for cameras/views? I had similar problem with Ezdok.

If that not help, i suggest you to use this guide for Windows 7 installation and tuning for FSX: http://www.simforums.com/Forums/topic34141_post198187.html#198187

And this one to install FSX in correct way: http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html  Just scroll down to "FSX Instalation"

Hi I just re installed my setup and I had the same.  Been pulling my hair out for about three hours.

My solution was:-

Within FSX - Options (menu)  - Settings - Display  to bring up the display menu

Tick the Anti-aliasing check box.

Hope that helps you too.
