June 14, 201312 yr Find the Rhine, and fly it North out of Frankfurt ....stay very low...and you will enter a Rift Valley region which the Rhine flows through. Very well done at Very High rez or higher, with SimHeaven OSM+AUTOGEN in play. Most pleasing eye-candy for sure! A great flight, now to take it off of 'pause', lol. Mitch Post Edit: If you own XPX, and have SimHeaven Europe OSM+AUTOGEN, then you owe it to yourself to catch the 'Rhine' and follow it up as it travels northeast, etc. Stay low...1,000 to 1,500 feet all the way. Follow the river, and observe the best that XPX has to offer you. You will see that this trip will throw everything (at EXTREME or VERY HIGH rez) XPX has at you....and man, what a flight. Trains that come across the river over bridges where they exited a mountain tunnel. Bridgework, both on the roadways, that hug sloping terrain up, from the river bed, hydro-electric projects that spot the river's progress with navigation by-pass locks, and trains...did I mention trains? By far you see that to Europe, the train network is the N.A. answer to the trucking network of North America. You have parallel tracks with movement in both directions, one train miles apart from another, as you snake your way following the river. Forests, both arboreal, and sporadic. Barges, ferries, all there waiting for your low 'n slow. Road traffic, done to a 'T', and as XPX renders it, most RL believable. Take the river tour tonight...and have fun! Do it at sunset, and see the HDR transition, and how it affects what is happening below you. Back to the flight...and oh..I think I need a map....
June 14, 201312 yr Make a video of it or at least post some screens. I see alot of talk about this SimHeaven OSM stuff, I'd love to see it in action. i9 9900k - 32 gb RAM @ 3200mhz - 2070 RTX 8gb

I was just about to get back to my in-session flight following the Rhine, north. I guess that I will have to learn to do that and make the effort. But, if you have XPX, this suggestion of mine is enthusiastically offered!!!!

Like the date that tells you all the great things they are going to do to you and then gives you a kiss on the cheek and says good night. All talk and no show! :LMAO: :Just Kidding: Psolk...as you know, lol, I have never been the one to post pics...too busy FLYING, lol...but will try it out. I must say though, that I have been flying in Northern Germany, (following the Rhine Valley) and it has been like I was flying within a movie. Near 30 FPS, total fluidity...and elements below my wing..that told me to 'forget' this was a sim...and just FLY OVER GERMANY! I'll try to post some pics, and such...but if anybody else is a pic guru..and takes the flight....post away! I won't be doing a pic taking tonight...I want to fly and explore..but I WILL give it a go... As you also know, I really don't believe that pics really add anything. Why? Because what I might have on my system, will not be what somebody else has in output on their system, AND..that in posting to AVSIM and other's...you lose detail in the compression. That is a fact as most already know. If I am the 'kiss and tease' (LOLOLOLOL) it is that the best graphic generator ever built...is the Human Mind. It is better to say that I have discovered a gem...and then let the rest of you decide whether to also go up into the hills and search that 'diamond' as well.... I agree with you...that has always been my 'posting style'. I find a gem...and wish others to locate the mine, if they wish to......... Mitch'er

I know ya were, LOL (giving a backslap! ) But seriously, being in the sim-user league as long as I have...I have seen where posted pics have done a disservice to what the poster was trying to relate as having experienced. What was posted as a static shot, was not what the poster really experiened in real-time upon his monitor. They might give somebody some representation in general...but I always feel it is better for the reader to produce results in real-time. Just my feelings on the matter.

And conversely, I've seen cases where selective screenshots give on overly positive impression of something, so I appreciate the "trust me, you gotta just go try this" approach. Not being a huge screenshot guy myself (I get too wrapped up in the moment and forget to grab a capture), I've been chided as well for a verbal description with no screenshot - though I know in this case it was all in good fun. June 14, 201312 yr I stick in NA a lot. I guess because I live there. I should try Europe more often. I occasionally Fly out of Aeroft Lugano. Still one of my favorite payware sceneries for XP. Beautiful area to fly around. Great mountains and rivers. Really shows off X-plane 10 well. Rob
June 14, 201312 yr Since people are asking for proof... (I had Avsim delete them yesterday) Now if these show up, I'll upload a video with links as proof... By the way, these were taken in an area north of Bergamo in Italy.

I'm also (in truth), possibly state-anal, lol! Today, what took me to Europe, was that it was said that the SimHeaven Europe was more detailed than its version of N.A. In a word....truth. I had to actually drop to Very High in rez, as to get myself back to around 25-27 FPS. But...having typed that, I intend to fly for the weekend jaunts totally over that continent, and see what is what..... If a lot of the graphics are anything like that trip up the Rhine this afternoon...then bring it on, BABY! Bring it on..... Since people are asking for proof... Post if you have anything that displays what I flew over today....
