No AI aircraft seen parked on the ground in UT2 at midnight

Featured Replies

I purchased UT2 last week. I notice that between 1 and 5 AM  generally midnight the traffic is less in the sky at most airports. However, my question is, Why don't I see AI aircrafts parked at the gates at midnight?
Every airport I visit is a ghost town say between 12:30 to 5 AM. This doesn't make sense as even if the dep and arr traffic is less, you got to have aircraft parked at the airport gates or remote bays.

My settings are Weekly 40% and Daily 25%. Do I need to increase the percentages?

Help on resolving this issue would be great.

Thanx

I would increase weekly to 100%, shouldn't that give you the most realistic traffic anyway?

Also I wonder if you have it set so that you can't see any daedalus traffic, basically all the AI with default textures applied? That could explain some lack of traffic too I believe.

Its normal for UT2. If I remember right, UT2 injects traffic 15 minutes prior to a plane being scheduled to depart. Since not many planes depart at those hours at some airports you wont see much traffic. Of course at some international airports like JFK thst have traffic coming and going at all hours, you'll probably ser more traffic at those hours. This is a downside to UT2.

What schedule are you running? I think by about the third schedule update they released they fixed that issue.

I set my UT2 traffic sliders to 50% GA, 100% commercial traffic.  I can't say that I've ever seen a major airport with no parked AI with these settings.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Originally, UT2 did have this problem.

It was a consequence of how they injected AI. Planes only appeared 45 minutes before their departure.

So obviously in the middle of the night, with no departures happening, there'd be no AI at the gates. But with subsequent schedule updates, this was fixed.

All you need is the latest one. It's like 5 bucks.

I'm going to reply to all your queries.

@Fscamp, yes default daedalus is off.

@bonchie and @tooting, my schedule is the old one from 2010. The new package came with the 2010. The 2012 I guess is the latest one is $6. There is a more current beta version out there but 2012 should be pretty good.

Getting the latest one will fix it. If not, Flight1 has a refund policy so it's no risk.
