Never thought I would say this but that European Truck Simulator 2013 is highly addictive. Really impressed with the time/distance compression on it as it even makes long distances fun.

 

I am up to Level 9, 8350kms, rating 5.0, bought a Volvo FH16, and gonna save up to buy me a fleet of those Volvo's. This one is really awesome.

 

Oh yes and Cardiff National Radio has been my preferred radio station so far.

I agree. I wish a Flight Sim would have night lighting and flight deck shadows the same way. Goes to show Graphic Engines have come along way.

don't feel Bad 5x5. I have not flown FSX in months and only briefly flew any XPX after I bought it a few months ago. And even worse I have only flown for real 5 times this year and one of those flight was gear up landing :Nail Biting: The good news is I just sprung for!

Woah! That's a lot of kilometers! I'm only at 50, I believe. Haha. My favorite trucks are the Scania and Volvo as well.

There is config variable in console "g_pedal_clutch_range", that can tweak clutch pedal active area length. Range is 0.1 to 1.0 (default value is 1.0)

Redesigned Job Market's job listing to be able scroll through all jobs

The speed limiter can be now disabled in Options screen.

Added Advisor warning messages related to retarder, parking brake and air pressure warnings are not shown when gear is set to neutral.

Added new optional control scheme where steering, accelerator and brakes can all be controlled by mouse

Ferry route length displayed in the job selection.

Loan installments are properly rounded up and displayed, improved timing of loan payments

Upgrade shop does not automatically discard everything with change of cabin/chassis. Only non-compatible accessories are removed

There is config variable in console "g_income_factor", that can lower job income of you and your drivers for more challenge. Range is 0.0 to 1.0 (default value is 1.0)

World map can be closed by same key that opens it (default key M)

MODDING

 

New sector based map format which supports simultaneous modifications by more than one user and local extensions as long they operate in separate sectors.

Many definition lists (e.g. types of AI trucks) can be now simultaneously extended by more than one mod.

As result of multiple changes it is now possible to have more than one reverse speed in modded trucks.

With just over 500 earthquakes where I live over the past 8 days it is adding to the realism of Euro Truck Simulator for me.....Sound cranked up with the rumble of the Diesel Engines over my subwoofers, and a 5.5 tremor as I rev that engine at the same time....Kind of gives an earthquake some purpose.

 

Had a few quakes while I was playing now and they kind of go together with some harmony. Best time to stay in for me right now until this geological event passes.  :lol:

Hee hee, funnily enough I was going to post a similar thread. I haven't flown properly for the past three weeks. In the UK, we have had some of the hottest weather for years. It's great and we spend each evening eating outside and drinking wine. The last thing I can face, even flying, is to sit in my office, which has been a furnace and almost impossible to sit for more than ten minutes at a time, trying to convince myself that what I'm doing is enjoyable! What I did do last weekend, because I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms, was to get out of bed early in the morning and have a proper flight in the NGX... it was fantastic!!
