Surface Light Bloom

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me figure out how the following was achieved:

http://youtu.be/yjCNlBvMsag?t=1m21s

I'm completely mesmerized by the centerline lights and how they illuminate the ground as the plane approaches. Does anyone have insight on how this was accomplished?

Thanks,

T

Hey T...there is a link in the comments under the view that should answer your question.

Hey so I combed through the comments and didn't see any links. I'm already using the DX10 tweak linked in the video description (http://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/). I really only found the uploader say to check out his other tweak vids which I've done to no avail of replicating those centerline lights.

I'm starting to think this may be part of some customer airport because I've never seen anything like that before. I'd pay good money to be able to have those visuals on night landings in FSX.

If anyone out there knows how to do it, speak up!

I meant to say custom airport scenery...

I've messaged Rotation and we'll wait and see if we can get him in this thread!

This is the sun mod he could be talking about. replace the contents of your suneffect.cfg located in your fsx root dir. back up first.

Have no idea. It could be.  Only way to know is to try it. But I get similar results.

Interesting... will try it...

Are you coupling this mod, with any ENBSeries etc?

Best regards,

I hope he isn't because ENBseries have given my HELL in the past.

No, don't use ENB. if the user in the video is, he would need to share his settings with you. But I get very good results with this sun tweak.

Rotation does use ENB Series, I believe.  However, that sun tweak (the giant, bright sun at the beginning of his video) is widely available, as someone pointed out above.  He does have some FSX Tweak videos you can watch that may allude to what settings / tweaks he is using.

I've followed all the tweak videos including the one where he shows how to configure the sun mod. My sun looks like the one in the video but those centerline lights are still little orbs of white, nothing like his.

The lights are apart of the UK2000 scenery. There's no tweaking involved. I'm guessing the one in the video is from Birmingham (EGBB),
