Thai Creations - Mumbai, India is out

Recommended Posts

I like Thai Creations scenery..they are really good..And they make scenery for interesting places many mainstream developers do not.

Their best sceneries IMO are

1) Macao (Just 20-30 kt miles from Kai Tak

2) Kathmandu, Nepal

3) PARO (Bhutan) my fav destination for flying the Aerosoft Airbus A320.

4) Now Mumbai!

Awesome! Mumbai to Dubai

Thai Creation sceneries are indeed top notch, when FTX Global comes out (I hope it would happen within 24 hours like they aimed to do) I will start flying in Asia again as FTX Global apparently finally makes Southeast Asia look like the tropical paradise it's supposed to look like.

I am not sure Bob.. I never use that functionality. If you tell me how I can test it/Activate the jetways (Ctril-J??) then I can test it and let you know.

:)

Are those planes static or AI? Because in the pics above they seem to have gotten a lot correct - Jet Airways, Indigo, Jet Lite etc - which are major domestic carriers in India with a large number of 737's and A320 in their fleets.

Yes...it would be CTRL-J to activate the default FSX jetways if they're active in the scenery.

Regards/thanks

I bought that scenery today and on the first view it is really nice and framefriendly.

But I have an elevation problem.

The taxilines and markings are floating over the airport and on the runway 27 there are some hills.

I cannot find a forum from THAI for help; only Facebook but I don´t use that.

Ideas?

have you installed orbx global, that could be an issue - just a guess

Its not related to FTX Global its an airport altitude issue which I had as well. I alerted the developer on his facebook page but he did nothing to fix it so I fixed it myself in ADE.

The airport is fine with low res default mesh, but if you use high res mesh like FS Genesis or FS Global then you get this mismatch.

You have to open the airport in ADE and change the altitude to 27 feet. That may work, if not you will have to add a Terrain Exclusion with flatten to block out the default airport background and elevation also in ADE. This thread at FS Developer explains how to do it perfectly:

http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45239

It doesn't take 10 mins to fix, but sadly the developer could not be bothered.

A shame, becuase they make great products but are usually severely flawed in some way, requiring the user to fix - missing or broken approaches, poor exclusions, building issues, texture issues and ADE issues to name but a few. Great airports, awful support in my experience.
