Eaglesoft CJ1+ 2.0 - Questions

Featured Replies

Ron,

I remember a previous post you mentioned the Citation X was possibly being upgraded to Version 3. Is that still on the burner?

While still on the back burner it's a slow process at this point and depends on another modelers workload.... B)

That's nice to hear. They might have made a few tweaks here and there since, but I did the initial flight models for most of Eaglesoft's products. Glad to see that they are still a pleasure to hand fly.

Rob

Rob did an outstanding job and was selected because we knew his work to be unsurpassed at the time. It appears that is still the case. B)

I agree.    They all have something unique and great about them.   I now own all of their BizJets apart from the old Premier.

My obsevations of the Eaglesoft Bizjets would be;-

  • Citation X 2.0:   Stunning avionics, FDE, performance.  Just an all round beauty, as HansRoaming said!
  • Citation II:   An often forgotten model, but a lovely simulation of a much older style BizJet. More basic avionics but just as nice a flight model.  Great on frames.
  • CJ1+ 2.0:  Great FMS, and nice for short range bizjet flights (competing with the F1 Mustang for missons!).  FMS apart, avionics (eg AP) is not up to Citation X standards IMHO.  But still a great bizjet with that 'magical' feel to the FDE.   (Yes that's right Berndt;  magical  )
  • Beechcraft 400XP:  One of their oldest but one of my fave all time FS addons;  superb flight handling characteristics. A wonderful rendition of an older style glass cockpit.   I flew about 1000 hours in the FS9 verison of this aircraft.

My current favourite aircraft is the Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 (revisited!), flying around FTX CRM and FTXG California

Many thanks to all for recognizing and enjoying the work that has gone into these aircraft and we pledge more in the future even with slowdowns and developer changes. B)

The CJ1+ has a more in depth FMC but the Citation X is a Citation X, if you went on a date with it she'd be the one you'd remember on your deathbed! Just get them all, you won't be disappointed.

Our thanks Hans and we're grateful for the tests you've completed. B)

I was almost sure you'd done the FDE for the Eaglesoft BizJet fleet of that time, but didn't want to commit in case I was wrong

...... unmistakenly high quality;  especially the Beechjet Hawker 400;  for me, that's the best hand flying experience I've had so far in 10+ years of simming.

I bought the Citation X yesterday and have been pleased. I agree on the smooth flight model and the avionics are nice. I have a bit of reading and learning to do before I can fly it without breaking it.

FSX: PMDG 744/MD11/JS41/736/737/738/739, CS752/753/763/C130, SimCheck A300, Leonardo MD82, MJC DH8D, Aerosoft CRJ7/CRJ9/A318/A319/A320/A321, RAZBAM Metroliner, ORBX Global, FlyTampa KBUF/OMDB/TNCM/VHHX, ActiveSky Next

DCS: A-10C II/F-16C/AH-64D/F-15E/KA-50 III/Mi-24/Persian Gulf/Syria/F-15C

XP11: FF 752/753, iniBuilds A306, HotStart TBM900

MSFS: Fenix A320, FS2Crew Fenix A320, FS2Crew Pushback Express, PMDG B77W, ActiveSky FS, Drzewiecki Design UUEE

All Eaglesoft aircraft have excellent avionics and FDE, the only thing that could be improved is the VC and external models but only because the state of the art is so good now in 2013.

Then what would a date with a Gulfstream be like lol

The ES Citation X V2 is in a class of its own. You can dumb it down to short Vor flights regionally, or beat the crap out of a 737 across the pond.

She is the true Cessna Swiss Army Knife. I just love it. If they remade the VC I would purchase that upgrade.

A date with the Gulf would be like winning the lotto also. A shame the company has no love for this hobby.

It's always fun to blast by the tube liners on Vatsim with the X!

Citation X V3 would buy again full price as it's that sweet a plane.

PS Gulfstream never puts out in flight simulation so no thanks. :)

For those interested in Citation flying and superb videos with the most excellent briefings and instructions I have ever seen on YouTube, there is a brilliant pilot named Guido who has posted a ton of Citation V videos. This man shoots very good footage from the cockpit and is a very good communicator. His YouTube channel is here:

Wow, nice, bookmarked.    There is also a nice payware video of the Citation Mustang available from Flight Sim Store that I picked up last month.    Nice quality and real private jet operational flights, filmed.

EDIT:   Oh wow, Rob those videos are just awesome. The amount of info given is staggering.  There goes my Sunday!
