A quick video I made of a flight from CYVR to KONP (covers MSE Washington and Oregon 2.0).

Video reduced in size/quality for YouTube (1080p).

Here are some screen shots also:

Pics reduced in size from 2560 x 1600 to 1920 x 1200.  You can see the contrast between MSE and FSX + AGN in some of the pictures around Vancouver.

Thanks for the videos robains, looks very nice. When you fly using MSE v2.0, your autogen sliders should be 0% since MSE v2.0 doesn't include any sort of autogen right?

When you fly with MSE v2 it doesn't matter where your autogen sliders are set.  The setting becomes irrelevant so it's safe to leave it wherever you normally do.

Captain your high lod and 100% traffic is directly contributing to low fps and oom.  Do you want a flight sim or traffic sim?  DX10 might give you 300-400 mb more of vas.  With UT2 traffic the FSX ai settings stay at 0.  FSX is a balance.  PMDG aircraft consume a large amount of memory.  If you want to jack up lod with photoscenery, you can, but not with the 737ngx at a payware airport with 100 traffic.  Choose a lower resource aircraft.  PMDG is about accurate systems and fde; the airliner experience.  That should be your focus with settings; not eye candy.  I change settings for every flight to emphasize what I want from that flight.  With an airliner, you sit in the cockpit at the gate for 30 minutes or so setting up the plane.  Are you seeing any autogen or lod?  You taxi for 10 minutes to the runway.  Are you flying low over car traffic and autogen and can you see lod 8.5 from the ground?  You take off and in 10 minutes are in the flight levels.  Autogen at FL340?  If you're on vatsim with a lot of traffic during an event, are you looking out the window at all the autogen and car traffic?  You get my point here.  Tune the settings realistically for what you need for that flight.  If you want to fly low and look at the scenery, you can jack up the settings because you're in a low resource aircraft and the system can handle that.  This is the reality of FSX.  Maybe one day when P3D is 64 bit and DX11, we can have our cake and eat it too.  Or maybe check out xplane 64 bit.

Very nice screenies! And at LOD 9.5 wow! I use LOD_RADIUS 8.0 which is good and definitely a recommended setting for photoreal (it really does make that much of a difference).

Enjoyed the video too. Thanks for sharing it.

Video/pics are "as is" shots, no post production modification other than resize. Fraps recorded and then compressed and upload to YouTube 1080 HD format which doesn't fit my 2560 x 1600 ratio which is sized down to 1280 x 800 by Fraps ... hence the banding bars left and right.

The full size native Fraps recordings look even better. BUT, at over 1GB per 30 second recording just not practical for YouTube and most internet bandwidth (33 MB/sec =  264 Mbps which is considerably faster than bandwidth to most homes -- at least in my area anyway I cap out about 51 Mbps down and 7 Mbps up on a good day) .

I hear ya. I used Fraps to record the MSE 2.0 Official videos and it chews data big time (although I was recording at 1920x1080).

If you then post-produce using a good video app, you can compress it down much more, but any compression affects quality in one way or another.

I think I can get a 7-8 min video down to about 700-800mb upload for YouTube at 1080p using a good codec.

Agree, I haven't spent much time using the various compression options in Adobe's CC suite or any 3rd party compressors.  But YouTube will do it's own compression regardless even when one selects the "original quality" option during playback.  Here is a video I recorded at 2560 x 1600 but still got compressed by YouTube even when I select "original quality"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BeVr_dzkmU -- you can see the compression during view pans.

I have a Vimeo account but haven't tested with it recently.

Great shots.

Thank you sir.
