Just finished an upgrade from an i920 oc to 3.7 to a 4670K (not oc yet) and the diff is amazing, much better FPS and SMOOTHER, no more stuttering, most sliders maxed.

 

Def worth it....for FSX.

I'm just about to have my system builder put together all the bits for an upgrade from a i960 + GTX470 run at stock to an i4770k + GTX770 that I expect to run with a moderate overclock and am hoping for a significant boost. Would have gone with a 780 gpu but I already had the 770 when I came across all the positive reports on the 780 and by then it was too late for an exchange.  So will stick with the 770 and consider a mid-life gpu upgrade down the track.  Went with the H90 cpu cooler over the H100i mainly on the basis of noise concerns with the two fan cooler and because it is a simple install on my HAFX.  There also seemed to be more issues with the H100i on the Corsair support forum, although to be fair a lot of good reports around the web as well.  I will be adding a second exhaust fan in the top of the case to compensate for replacing an exhaust fan on the back of the case with the H90 input fan.  Hope this all works, found it quite difficult to source high speed low latency ram that was on the ASUS Hero MB QVL here in Australia - ended up with 16gb Gskill Trident X 2400 that was on the GSkill QVL for the Hero. Would have been happy with 8gb but no one had stock.
