November 9, 200421 yr and extra content. These are my ideas.Primarily, an ATC feature that will satisfy hard core simmers who wish to do virtual flying. Rather than having to install an extreme variety of programs just to get it working. The 737 sounds haven't been worked on for years it seems and that is all theu use for all their heavy aircraft. How about going for a couple of cockpit rides and getting some more realistic glass cockpit sounds (less engine and more wind/air con noise). The cockpit contrasts the back of the cabin where there is virtually no engine noise. The back of the cabin has very loud engine noise. US passenger FS enthusiasts (who never had a chance to go to the cockpit in-flight would not know what I am talking about in a sense except in visualizing the exhaust being at the rear and the intake at the front.....)Every major airport in the world should have airport gates that can be raised and lowered and a city.In FS2002 Singapore has nothing!!! Yet it has so many high rise apartments like HK.Asia has been left out in FS (except HK).If you want to fly virtual airlines you can then have confidence to fly to major airports and park at the gate without 'checking' first.Seattle has gates in 2002.So every country in Europe would have 2-3 detailed cities and airports, Australia New Zealand 10 airports and cities, Asia 1 airport and city (eg Manilla, Bangkok, Singapore) etc etcThe new military element to FS2006.....no longer die by crashing, but getting blown out of the sky!)Aircraft carriers and ships should be able to be controlled by player. (A Captain could pilot the ship to anywhere he wishes to..-this could lead to virtual navies)Hopefully missiles and guns can work on military a/c so you can shoot things down..... (there are already virtual airforces)Will help make the sim extremely realistic!Landing on aircraft carriers could be simulated.Ships could have the ability to operate its onboard weapons.Air strikes can be directed on targets/cities etc New FS aircraft2-3 military (my idea would be F4 Phantom, F14 Tomcat and F18 Hornet)2-3 civilian (my idea would be A330-200 and 300 and the A340-300 and 600 maybe a DC10 too)If FS wanted to do a 'Vietnam scenario' for FS2006 they could do a more detailed scenery of Vietnam and use the F4 and add a Mig. This is another idea for a 'military theme' to be added with the military element.Just my ideasAnd remember don't limit creativity. The more the better! FS is becoming HUGE!!!And don't say just go buy CSFS! FS is a sim and in these days fighters escort jets and may shoot them down if terrorists threaten.....

November 9, 200421 yr Dan,MS could have you the option to 'turn military option off' if you'd like.Anyhow a real FS involved the REAL world. Without a real world it is flight fantasy. I know what you mean, you'd like to keep it civilian. Fine, I agree an option should be there for those who do not wish to have guns etc.Just I am fed up with not having a 'broad option' to fly in 'the real world' There 14 real aircraft carriers out there in the US Navy and many ships. I'd like the chance to have a more realistic experience. They already have several aircraft carriers in the game (of which you don't complain of).Keep it civilian but don't narrow it down so those of us who enjoy the military can't use it in real FS.I'd like to fly a fighter from Australia to the US being refuelled the whole way. A mission designer to ensure your refuellers fly with you or are scheduled right etc etc.Anyhow those are our opinions. At least we got the same name! :-):-bang :-luke
November 9, 200421 yr Things to change/fix...1. The time zone problem.2. The atc window to request different flight levels. Their is no need to have all those words in the "clear ATC window". Every time when I request a different flight level, I then have to re-size the atc window back to a smaller size..3. Could you please add my house next time.... :DThanks Microsoft for a great Sim/hobby..
November 9, 200421 yr I must admit, the PMDG 737s look beauoooootiful!!!!Is there a fa=rame rate payment for this?I want a 777 from PMDG (not that I want MS to stop making them in FS2006!).Are the sounds nice too? Less engine noise? what does it sound like Dan?Danielwww.danielmcaloon.tk
November 9, 200421 yr My only grip right now with FS9 is the ATC: in particular things would be greatly improved if the ATC would recognize my plane as part of the overall traffic pattern. I get continually frustrated arriving at any moderate to large airport with UT running at near 100% and having myself sandwiched in between 3 other planes all landing at once; even with AFCADS with crossing runways. Traffic sequencing seems to be the major flaw in the ATC engine; at least for me.
November 9, 200421 yr What is the time zone problem? And the ATC window, what words are you talking about? All the different FLs?(I just bought FS2004 last week).
November 9, 200421 yr Its the best airliner for FS, period.FPS?, hmmm....well, it depends on what system you have, but I never drop below 30fps with this, or any other addonThe sounds?, well, I have never flown in/on a real NG, but it sounds good enough to me.In fact, the PMDG was one of my most flown planes, until I got the F1 ATR ;)Dan.
November 9, 200421 yr Do a IFR flight, and you'll understand the Atc window thing... Also do a flight where you cross timezones and watch the zulu time change, not the local time...
November 9, 200421 yr Fs2004 is already very good but some improvements are possible- sorting out the bugs in the real weather like wind changing too quickly, the fog whith 10 nm visibility etc- some improvements for Atc : speed restraints , possibility to choose a runway for start- GPS: start procedures( sids), better working approach procedures- a 777 that resembles the real one and is not so ugly.- sound files for 777 and 747- better and more readable virtual cockpits for 777 end 747- wing viewsGuy
November 9, 200421 yr In addition to the ATC items mentioned above, I'd like to see the ability to declare an emergency and make an emergency landing.Jim

On t/o they must atain an AIS of 190 KTS before you can lift off without tailstrike. The flight models need to be made more realistic. Shame on Microsoft! As real as it gets is a tailstrike!
November 10, 200421 yr RJ, if you save a flight as a default flight with the atc window resized and moved it will be that way all the time.billg
