September 8, 201312 yr As I was watching some 777 videos on YT, I came across this video promoting piracy of the PMDG 777. The video and the uploader needs to be shut down ASAP! Idiots like these are just too thick to understand the fact that it took years of hard work to develop this flawless piece of of beauty and now they want PMDG to go bust. You get years of endless entertainment for just $90 and these tight bast**** want to ruin everything by promoting piracy and cracks for PMDG products. I've tried contacting Youtube but still no word from them. Seriously guys, You want PMDG to develop more aircrafts? Go support them! Had to take on a loan just to buy the T7. It's my first thread but this REALLY got me on my nerves! Links removed... Yusuf Keyre
September 8, 201312 yr I think it will take one of the PMDG staff to get it removed if google comply with that request but everyone should report it to speed up any action. -Paul-
September 8, 201312 yr How about "avoiding" YouTube until they start taking copyrights seriously? They don't even provide an easy reporting tool for unregistered visitors of their website - no contact form, no e-mail address. What happened to AVSIM
September 8, 201312 yr Author How about watermarking each downloaded product installer wizard from PMDG with the customers unique serial on the installer to identify who bought it and then pirated the product on to the web. They could look up that serial number and find who and where the product was bought. PMDG could sue them since they have every customers IP address when a product is bought, so even if they give out fake details during purchase, their location would still be known. For Google, they should work with software developers by banning users and erasing torrents. These criminals must be named, taken to court and shamed! Yusuf Keyre
September 8, 201312 yr How about taking off the youtube link and reporting it to PMDG themselves? Adam
September 8, 201312 yr How about taking off the youtube link and reporting it to PMDG themselves? How about adding a YouTube/Google e-mail address here so we all can report the videos to YouTube every day individually until they got removed? What happened to AVSIM
September 8, 201312 yr Can you not flag the actual video? I would say reporting to PMDG is a good idea, but dont see what good posting the video advertising piracy does... Adam
September 8, 201312 yr Author Can you not flag the actual video? I would say reporting to PMDG is a good idea, but dont see what good posting the video advertising piracy does... Like I said mate, Google doesn't seem to care. I've already tried flagging them. If it's porn or something like that, they'll take immediate action but piracy? they don't care. Yusuf Keyre
September 8, 201312 yr You need to be YouTube-registered even for that. Mohamed has removed his links - good call! What happened to AVSIM
September 8, 201312 yr if the video you are talking about is " PMDG 777 For FREE!!!!!" by FSXGenius it actually is not a video on how to get it for free but a video on why things like the 777 should not get torrented. it is actually very funny makes ppl think " aw sweet a video on how to get it for free" then they watch it and are like " #####" LMAO very funny indeed, smart baiting there mate. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Brendan Welch
September 8, 201312 yr The only one that can flag a video for copyright is the copyright owner, in this case PMDG. Google/Youtube won't do anything is others flag it, so you're just wasting your time. The best thing to do is bring it to the attention of Ryan or someone else at PMDG, and let them take care of it!! Tom Cain Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
September 8, 201312 yr PMDG could sue them since they have every customers IP address when a product is bought, so even if they give out fake details during purchase, their location would still be known. No they can't and no it wouldn't. Credit card could be stolen, postal address incorrect, IP address incorrect ie Proxy etc etc Very difficult to prove anything. Also there is then the excuse that their installation file and licence key was borrowed/stolen/lost etc etc
September 9, 201312 yr No they can't and no it wouldn't. Credit card could be stolen, postal address incorrect, IP address incorrect ie Proxy etc etc Very difficult to prove anything. Also there is then the excuse that their installation file and licence key was borrowed/stolen/lost etc etc Not only that. Not everyone has a fixed IP address either. IP addresses can be issued dynamically by the ISP as well.
