September 11, 201312 yr Hello everybody, The first thing i found out, during TCAS test the filled red square doesnt show : The second is, during flight above Atlantic alternate airports arrow with distance doesnt show, only if im turning towars to them: Here is a picture how it looks in real life : It should show the alternate airports all the time with 640 scale selecter, relative to plane position. And the last, even i have selected the FMS CRZ Phase Thrust Limit in the equipment options menu CLB, reaching the cruise altitude the thrust limit change to CRZ all the time. I would appreciate any feedback from PMDG and from You guys aswell. Zsolt Zsolt
September 11, 201312 yr I can't comment on TCAS red square symbols, these in the FCOM? Alternates behind you are only seen in the CTR view. Dan Downs KCRP

September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member The second is, during flight above Atlantic alternate airports arrow with distance doesnt show, only if im turning towars to them: This is correct based on the information I have. Yes, I see your picture, but that doesn't fit the information I have. Perhaps different software versions (yes, they do exist). And the last, even i have selected the FMS CRZ Phase Thrust Limit in the equipment options menu CLB, reaching the cruise altitude the thrust limit change to CRZ all the time. Intro manual. It's an airline option. PMDG SETUP > AIRCRAFT OPTIONS Kyle Rodgers

PMDG SETUP > AIRCRAFT OPTIONS So you mean in PMDG plane it will never show the alternates if they are behind or to the left/right? only if they are ahead of the plane? about CRZ limit. Thays what i wrote : PMDG SETUP - Options - i select CLB thrust for cruse limit but it anyway change to CRZ after levelling of at cruse altitude Zsolt
September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member So you mean in PMDG plane it will never show the alternates if they are behind or to the left/right? only if they are ahead of the plane? 180 degrees - 90 degrees each side of the nose. about CRZ limit. Are you changing this after the aircraft has set itself on the CRZ limit? Kyle Rodgers
September 11, 201312 yr Author 180 degrees - 90 degrees each side of the nose. Can you post a screenshot? Are you changing this after the aircraft has set itself on the CRZ limit? so 180 degrees. have a look at pictures : flying on course 133...doesnt show anything...turning to hdg whatever current course 070 and show all of them. so something is wrong. yes can be different software versions on real planes, but the reason behind alternates showed by arrow is to let the pilot know all the time about directions of the alternates if they are offscale. so its really strange that lets say you fly somewhere all alternates behind you or to the left/right ( like my picture from real plane Keflavik to right, Shannon behind ) and it doesnt show anything to you. CRZ limit : in PMDG options i got selected FMS cruse limit : CLB. i depart,climb...and when i reach the cruse altitude the thrust limit should stay CLB, BUT when levelling off it change to CRZ. Zsolt
September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member have a look at pictures : flying on course 133 I said earlier that I saw your pictures, so I acknowledge what you're seeing in the aircraft you got that from. The information that I have, however, states that it's only 90 degrees on either side of the nose. If you feel that it is a real error, submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com... September 11, 201312 yr WRT the alternate, in the screenshot could it be because BIKF is set up in the CDU as a fix?

September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member Check out the pictures: Just to help troubleshoot this, is the behavior different when you use the default 12000 derate washout option? (I have no idea if it would have any effect, but if it does, it could help pin down where the issue is in the code) Kyle Rodgers

Make sure you run FSX as administrator, if your UAC is not turned off completely. --Peter Fabian

I have tried with the default 12000 derate - ifs fine, working CLB thrust stays. But with the 30000 it will change to CRZ how i told before Zsolt
