Rejected Takeoff issues

I will try your suggestion Kyle, as I stopped flying the 777 until SP1 becomes available just because of this issue.

Thanks much for the tip!

Hi Richard,

It's in the FMC.  I'm away from my FSX computer and don't remember exactly where it is, but you will find it if you go into the PMDG options in the FMC.

Hi Kyle,

Can't see the throttle settings that you are referring to.

Under FSX.Add-ons.PMDG there are only two lines, which read 'About' and '*About PMDG...'. They provide no throttle override actions.

Under FSX.Options.Settings.Controls I see no options for throttle override actions either.

Help!

Hi as the last poster has suggested, what Kyle is referring to is in the fmc option part.

I press the key I have assigned for TOGA (Num keypad *). The mode annunciator goes from THR REF to HOLD and when reaching 80 knots it commands idle thrust and both brakes (autobrake RTO) would engage.

Hi, Enrique,

I am wondering whether you have a problem because Num keypad* is assigned in FSX to apply left brake.  I tried to duplicate your issue by assigning Num * to TOGA in PMDG but it didn't cause the rejected takeoff to kick in.  I had no joystick connected and my throttle is set to always override the autothrottle. I used F3 and F4 to increase thrust.  Still, perhaps try assigning a different key stroke to TOGA.  I have Ctrl-Shift-G set in the PMDG controls setup and that works for me.

Also, I am a little puzzled that you say the thrust goes into HOLD as soon as you press TOGA (using Num*).  It should only go into HOLD at 80 knots, not as soon as you press TOGA.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I am in the middle of moving to a new home and will be a few days until I can get my fsx PC installed... I'll definitely get back to you as soon as I do and try the different suggestions you guys have been giving.

Thank you and happy holidays!

Remember that, since the NGX, all PMDG Options have been moved into FMC-based menus.

Press the MENU key on the CDU, then go into PMDG Setup and work from there.  I believe the AT option is in PMDG SETUP > SIMULATION, but I'm not looking at it to know for sure at the moment.
