September 19, 201312 yr Yep - I succumbed as well. :bad: Took a couple of successful flights with the AUTO button to set me up. Question for you guys - I have engine sounds, altitude call-outs, but no gear, touchdown or flaps sounds. Should I? September 19, 201312 yr No they weren't included under the logic that you wouldn't hear them in the real cockpit. That's good, as sound effects I shouldn't hear are a little pet peeve of mine. Now flap sounds aren't as bad as hearing birds chirping over a Dehavilland Beaver's radial in full song, but still...
September 20, 201312 yr I bought it and I'm really starting to hate it. Yes, it looks and sounds great. And it really looks great taking off, too. But it's just not working right. I've now tried the tutorial about 10 times since last night and nothing is working consistently. Sometimes the engines start, sometimes they don't. I tried looking up the problem and it seems like there is a missing step between pushing back and starting the engines. I've tried Ctrl-Shift-F4 and even moving the throttle myself. Again, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My last try, engines 4 and 3 were fine, but 2 and 1 just sat there doing nothing. I couldn't get it to work and had to use the Auto command, which sort of kills it for me. But that wasn't it, during the takeoff at 2,500 feet - just like the tutorial said - I clicked the AP button on the pedestal. Nothing. The autopilot wouldn't engage. What am I supposed to do at that point? End the flight, that's all I could do. I really want to like it, but it's starting to waste my time. I'm just glad I didn't buy any of the extras for it.

September 20, 201312 yr I didn't check it, so that was probably it. I still can't figure out the engine start problem, though. I used AUTO to finish the startup and was able to do a complete flight from KAUS to KDFW. It's pretty good when it's working.
