Hi,

I actually owned the JF one before the QW one.    The JF one is not quite as good as the QW one, but it's not far off.   The VC is excellent - and of course it's the older (steam gauge) model.  It is one of the better JF offerings, and an absolute bargain at £5.

I actually prefer the flight model in the JF one too.

I just purchased the QW146 yesterday, and its been a gem.

Just wondering - how is the systems complexity compared to the QW?

Near the end of August, Lars from QW said he expected us to be flying the 146s within the next 2 months. But considering the JF one is that cheap at the moment, its probably a good tie over if you're really desperate.

Thanks for the info Ryan. I think I'll wait. Any decent addon that's less than the price of an Abacus plane gets my attention. The Avro is very good and looking forward to the upcoming 146.

For $8 I couldn't pass this one up even knowing the QW bird is going to be joining the stable shortly. Sometimes, you can't pass up that good of a bargain :P

Add me to that list.

For $8.00 bucks you won't even get a decent coffee down here. The extra liveries were more expensive!

Thanks Boz for the tip and to Just Flight for the deal.

Glad I could bring it to your attention. I am downloading now but when I get to fly it is anyone's guess what with the A2A 172 and GtaV calling and those two pesky things that get in the way ....work and family :-)

Since QW haven't released the 'legacy' BAe's yet ("just" the Avroliners).

Got the JF version and noticed I had some JF reward points to spend. I ended up with paying some 2.xx EUR for the JF basepack. Got the FMC/livery expansion from Flightsimstore for another 6 EUR. Total price was moderately higher than 8 EUR. Passed the QT expansion, though.

What happened to AVSIM

Hi,

Thanks for that Dave. Just bought it for a fiver much as I'd prefer the QW version but waiting to see if that and their 757 becomes a Bargain buy.

Just bought it for 47p. Used my points from earlier purchases. Bargain!

Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System.

UK PPL since 2006 current on PA-28, C-152, C172, Decathlon, C-42 based at EGHP.

Just flew it first time today. Short circuit around Bristol. Quite a shock to the system after the glass cockpits of today's modern aircraft to come across an analogue steam gauges panel for what was a fairly modern aircraft. And what an oddity that despite the buttons on the MCP for AP,etc, they do not work and refer instead to the pedastal(sic). But it is easily hand-flyable.

Reckon I'll wait for the QW offerings to be on a sale and grab them when they come along. But for 47p or £5, well, a McD meal costs about that, so no complaints.

Pretty comparable Nathan - couple of notches down maybe?

EDIT:  See you've bought it lol! ..... you're an addict like me!

The JF isn't a classic super add-one but it really is a bargain for £5 / $8 ......   It is better than any Captain Sim add-on IMHO, and comes in at even half the price of their famous EUR 10 sales!

I believe it is made by CLS ....... now I really can't stand most of their other products but this is by far the best.   In this one (unlike their MD-87 etc) they actually have things like FL CH / IAS (proper pitch mode) working.

And again, it's an interesting contrast to the QW because the JF is an old analogue version.
