PMDG_777X.DLL CTD AGAIN

Featured Replies

No never did. Once I did the complete OS and FSX wipe and reinstall, I never installed IS's VHHH again. AIG's freeware version is pretty good anyway, so really was no need to install the IS version. I'm certain though that I've come across others with the same issue, so if you do a few searches there may be a fix.

I am having that same issue, 20-30nm out, I get an ntdll.dll error when approaching VHHH. I also have Kai Tak and Imaginesim VHHH... very strange issue... did you ever solve it?

I dont have Imaginesim VHHH but I do have FlyTampa's VHHX installed and have no memory leak there and have flown the T7 to VHHX numerous times from all over the world and have had no issues with the scenery.

You might try disabling VHHH and do the flight to VHHX or disable VHHX and fly to VHHH and see if either cause a problem, then you can narrow it down.

I would imagine the issue, if any caused by either scenery, would stem from VHHH rather than VHHX. I let the T7 sit at VHHX once for 45 minutes and monitored VAS at the beginning and end, and VAS never rose the whole time, so it doesn't appear to be a memory leak at VHHX, at least not on my rig.

Hi

the file path looks strange because recently i migrated my fsx installation to a new ssd drive all by its self leaving the operating system on the other. I decided to put the fsx folder in a new folder called program files incase I ever needed to install onother program on the drive so figured it wouldnt hurt.I am running win 7 64 bit home edit

I have never tried running without acceleration never heard it could be an issue before.

yes I am using imaginesim vhhh and kaitak scenery.

I did try to replicate the flight again using the saved flight scenario and I got no ctd this time. I trid to mess with the fmc as much as I could trying every runway and sid etc but it was fine.

You can't do this - copyign the FSX install to a new machine or a reformatted machine/HD does not work.

Regarding the folder path - Robin's right that it's completely irrelevant what the path is as long it's it's not in the "system" Program Files (x86) folder. (this doesn't have to be on the OS drive by the way - it is possible to move it, but there's other things the OS uses besides the name to determine where that folder is.

I see this a lot though, people assume they have to call their folder Program Files\Microsoft blah blah when installing FSX on a separate drive with a custom install location. You don't have to do that - I personally recommend just calling it "FSX" and installing right to that folder. So D:\FSX or F:\FSX etc. If you categorize other stuff along with it, it could be D:\Games\FSX or D:\Simming\FSX etc. The path is totally arbitrary but for simplicity's sake I recommend just calling it "FSX".

Right now I am doing the same flight from RCTP to VHHH that crashes upon reaching Hong Kong city with both addons., I disabled Flytampa's scenery... Will see if it crashes..

If it doesn't then I know there is something between Imaginesim and Flytampa not playing nice together...

Will post my findings in a bit...

  • 1 month later...

It doesn't for me.  After I installed Imagine sim VHHH along with Flytampa VHHX, I had a CDT about 20nm from VHHH or VHHX.   I just did a complete uninstall of all my addons and FSX from C:/programfiles (X86) and did a fresh new installation of FSX and Acceleration in C:/FSX.   I am in the process of installing my addons.  I first installed Imagine sim VHHH, Flytampa VHHX not installed yet.  I did a test flight to VHHH with PMDG 737 and FSX crashed at 18 nm from VHHH.

I wrote to Imagine sim support about this problem and they do not have an answer.  They guessed that my graphic settings may need to be de-bugged.  I believe I have a pretty good and powerful system with a good graphic card.

There must be a solution if it is working for some simmers...???

I had similar issues to this with a corrupt installation of ORBX scenery. Installing the free FSUIPC seemed to clear it up for me, as well as reinstalling the scenery.
