There are cockpit shadows with DX10 in FSX.

Yes, with DX10 it looks more like Flight with DX9 it doesn't.

The user question speculated it was DX10, I don't see where you see NVIDIA confirmed it? In fact they didn't speculate or confirm on anything, as at that time FLIGHT was unreleased. Here's the wiki on FLIGHT the system specs specify DX9C

Flight is what I always said it was, FSX with a number of graphic improvements, and some core functionality removed (AI/ATC). As for the performance, that was an illusion. Take out AI in FSX and use a basic GA aircraft, and you can get the same or better in FSX. I have a few screenshots if you'd like to see.

Thanks

Anyway, i don`t see any "real" major changes.

The fog and shadows look like extracted from MSFlight.

Besides that no big breaking news.

Still looks like a FSX Service Pack...

The biggest change is that much more is going to be pushed off to the GPU, even more then FLIGHT did, including tessellation effects, which DX11 supports.

Thanks

From your link; "As seen in the screenshots, the most noticeable graphical improvements are the newer shader models and the use of new DirectX versions"

Okay so it's not DX10  relax take a chill pill. show me a link that says it is DX9....but even a blind man can see that Flight performs much better then FSX...an illusion

Doesn`t mean anything as long as the ground surface is still a green/brown slush.

Who needs realistic shadows on squared roads or grey buildings looking like being from 20 year old nintendo game?

Even the newest screenshots from the P3D developer blogs looks awful.

The biggest lack of FSX/P3D is still the monotonous environment.

I will come back if P3D "stock" looks at least like FSX with the best add-ons available.

As I said, Flight is FSX with Graphic improvements! If that was with FTXG, it may even look better than FLIGHT.

Thanks

You better make an appointment with your optometrist.

Nope....I run FTX Global...Flight still looks better.

Really those two look almost equally bad to me, the same view with FTX Global would definitely look just as good as Flight.

Screenshots don't tell the whole story. Run some video.

Honestly, you guys are grasping at straws to say FSX looks as good as Flight, even with FTX Global..it doesn't.

That is not entirely correct.

MS sold ESP (equals to FSX) to LM. Lm made P3D out of it. Which is still FSX with some enhancements.

In the  meantime MS developed ESP II, but didn`t finish the job. Then they made MSFlight out of it.

You said it above.

Stock MSFlight looks better than FSX stock.

P3D stock still looks worse than MSFlight stock.

I personally will not buy P3D if i have to buy Add-On`s worth several hundred $ to get it looking better than a 10 year old game...

Seems like the P3D developers don`t want to release a new FlightSim (WorldSim), but just a base software that may have the abilties to make it a better FS in the future.
