October 8, 201312 yr http://www.prepar3d.com/news/2013/10/4507/ I've noticed in the last week they have started to leak a lot of info, this could be Christmas come early! I just OCed my PC and MS Flight looks incredible with sliders at max smooth as butter, If p3d V2.0 looks as good I'll be more than satisfied.
October 8, 201312 yr It's a tiny tad better than MS Flight. I'm pretty sure that Flight had DX11 too. Also, I'm starting to wonder why the roads never seem to be created properly. Also, the waves in P3D 2.0 don't look right. Then again, there's little difference to me compared to Flight. The biggest difference to me is that it has weapons, and it has the whole world to fly in. Nothing else. Then again, it's military training related. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
October 8, 201312 yr I just found something that I would never have imagined. Ontario Air Cadets get Prepar3D. Wow. And it's like a 1 and a half hour drive from Toronto. http://www.prepar3d.com/case-studies/canadian-air-cadets-get-prepar3d/ Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets

October 8, 201312 yr Prepa3D is just FSX with some enhancements. Not really a milestone, and i still doubt that it wil become an alternative. Just look at the leaked changelog, nothing really interesting.
October 8, 201312 yr I was a big fan of P3d 1.4 until it began to continually crashed on me. I will get 2.0 when released. I will do little to it, to maintain it's stability. I will continue to use Flight as well. I will do everything I can to stop windows updates. They seemed to be a big source of problems for me in P3d. Moe
October 8, 201312 yr I thought you were trolling, but it looks promising. All depends on how well they implement it, but it starts to look as good as JustCause can look. (big problem is screenshots dont mean anything, you need to see it moving) I will certainly try it out, since im dutch and all dutch people get to use it for free.

October 8, 201312 yr Are there any videos of Prepar3D 2.0 in action? Screenshots are nice, but features like wave animation can only be appreciated with a video. October 8, 201312 yr Flight Engine was DX9 only! Think it was DX10. The shadows in the ac etc look much better than DX9 which is used in FSX. Actually there are no shadows in FSX.

DX9 according to Beau Hollis of P3D. You can actually get extremely good graphics with DX9, superior to what we see right now in P3D v2. The only difference is performance. It is a much tougher job though not impossible to get high framerates with super high graphics in DX9.
