Best Booster Program for FSX?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Recently I installed Razer's Gamebooster per some forum recommendations to give it a try. So far, its seems to have helped with overall performance somewhat better than I was getting before. I recently saw an add for another booster program called FSX Booster 2013, but I know nothing about this program. Does anyone have any experience with either one and can they be run together, or does one work better than the other separately?  Thanks.  Tom

To be honest, I'd be rather careful with such automated tweaking tools, because you never know what exactly they add/change in your configuration, and what those changes are based on. It's probably better to manually tweak using the AVSIM guide (or Word Not Allowed's, but I'm ever really sure if it's still allowed to mention that one), and add tweaks one by one, see waht they do and if they have an effect and add the next one. This way you will 1) know what you add 2) know what tweak works well and which you don#t really need and 3) you probably get abetter idea of what the tweaks actually mean, as the guides mentioned above explain them quite well.

As for FSX Booster: I've heard mixed reviews about it, reaching from "bad, overpriced and useless" to "extremely helpful, works like a charm", so I guess it depends on what you want and expect from it.

There is nothing you can spend money on that you cant do yourself. Most of thos programmes simply disable certaing wasted processes while you game. If you do some research and lots of reading you will soon figure out whtat progammes you dont need running

Best booster(s)? Tweaked FSX.cfg + alacrityPC. You can even try to run FSX with FSXassist.

Manually applied settings+manually edited fsx.CFG+nvidia inspector profiles after reading carefully some of the best FSX guides, understanding, testing and adapting(if needed)

+ 1 on the above.  "Magic Elixir" programs usually are some variation on the well known "snake oil" that will restore full health regardless of your personal problems.
