October 28, 201312 yr Is there anything that can keep aircraft off the runway until after I have landed or better yet, better control the ai traffic than the default game does? I was within seconds of landing, I couldn't avoid the crash, when a jet decided to go onto the runway, is there anything out there that will keep this problem from happening in the future?
October 28, 201312 yr Wait with your landing until you received landing clearance B) Honestly, the only thing that comes to my mind is the fact that UT2 allows you to clear the approach path (but I'm not sure if that would help with your issue, as I believe this is only about aircraft in the queue to land, but does not affect departing aircraft). Other than that, the only thing you can do is hope that you receive your permission to land before anyone else can get onto the runway (if you're flying with default ATC, that is, not sure how addons interact wit AI traffic) Florian
October 28, 201312 yr Get Super Traffic Board (http://www.supertrafficboard.com/). Not only does it give you all sorts of cool information, but it also allows you to delete any AI that might be misbehaving. I have it and I love it.
October 28, 201312 yr AISmooth might help, it's in the library. If you have FSUIPC, it has a traffic zapper function which will blow away any traffic in your way. Barry Friedman
October 29, 201312 yr Can't say I've ever had another aircraft take the active runway while I was on final and cleared to land. Now if you have not actually been issued clearance to land... :vava: My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
October 29, 201312 yr As above UT2 allows you to clear the approach or actually reset the traffic entirely. It can also be assigned via a hotkey so you don't even need to interrupt your approach to go up to the menu. It actually works pretty well as by the time you land the AI will have repopulated so you'll see AI at the gate but they usually take a few minutes to wake back up which gives you time to get parked. It's not a perfect system but if you're flying without default ATC and with AI on it's probably as good as it's going to get. | Ben Weston www.airline2sim.com
