October 30, 201312 yr FWIW CaptainSim's 757 displays the exact same behavior if you set your trim wrong by a large margin vatsim s3
October 30, 201312 yr In terms of flight dynamics I don't think there's anything wrong with QW 757, in fact I find their 757 & Bae 146 to have rather realistic feeling FD. Like others have said I bet either the installation is corrupted somehow or maybe something is causing it to trim fully up which could explain such behavior. +1 I also own both sets of QW products and find them to be excellent aircraft - if I were having the odd behavior that the OP is reporting my first step would have been to uninstall and reinstall as he did - strange that the problem is persisting...
October 30, 201312 yr Kevin, he would be using IAS as referance during the take off roll. Yeah, I kind of figured as well....but the second winds got thrown in there, I no longer had any idea what was going on anymore. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
October 30, 201312 yr I just did exactly what the OP described... FLAPS 15.... ran trim to full up... full throttle... and at about 70-80 IAS the nose rotated, so with trim incorrect it definatly has enough elevator authority at that speed....so I am sticking with my original answer.... trim issue. Looks like the OP may have figured this out already since he posted on at least 3 forums and hasnt replied to any Jay
October 30, 201312 yr Commercial Member Wow, that is not even considered the high speed regime of the take off roll in the event of an abort. It really is pushing It but in reality with an aft CG perhaps with full up elevator you could get a tail strike at that speed, most definitely not with trim alone, something up with the flight dynamics there. Doesn't this aircraft have a config warning? The OP says he tried it with correct trim and with no trim? You are right though, he has gone silent, probably tried to take off in a hurricane Rob Prest
October 30, 201312 yr Doesn't this aircraft have a config warning? The OP says he tried it with correct trim and with no trim? I ignored the config alarm and just let it go, it rotated without any yoke input at all, just full up trim. and this is using the same loadout I normally use. I aborted as soon as I saw the nose rotate so I dont know if it would have actually taken off, but obviously the OP has something set wrong. Jay
