(Announcement) JARDesign A320neo v2.0

So the article says that it's gone onto testing. I'm reall glad to see that development of commercial airliners in X-Plane has "taken off" (pardon the pun). There is an ever growing list of aircraft for X-Plane, very exciting times ahead!

Hm. That is weird, just Aerosoft. I'm just happy to see how busy X-Plane add-on development is getting!

Yes, and we are really in need for more airliners of higher quality / complexity, at least I am :-)

There's that 737 project too, Peter's A320 is going to get a nice 3d panel, and for classic airliners there is already the 727, one that I do not own but intend to...

I would really like to have a good / detailled 747, but also an A330.

This new 2.0 looks to be really good. What I like about JARDesign is they have constantly been listening to their customers from the first release and have been updating their A320 with pretty good speed.

If I may throw in a shameless plug, the FJS 727 is an excellent add-on. I'd say it beats out CaptainSims 727 with no problem. Very good sounds and you won't find much at all in the cockpit that does not function.

Also Leading Edge Simulations is working on a 747-400 and 200 which they are hoping for a near to 100% simulation. Although this is probably years down the line...But something to look forward too none the less.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

@PWJT8D:

Thx for the "plug" for the FJS 727. The aircraft was one of my preferred airliners in the good old times. I loved watching TAP's 100 and 200 models operate from LPPT. Also the 707s, the 720s, the BEA's and BA's Trident Threes, the Bac111s, the VC-10s, the IL-52Ms, the Caravelles, the DC8s, the DC-10s, the DC-9s ...

There are so many airliners, modern or "classic", waiting to become available for X-Plane 10 - the True Simulator of the Future!!! :-)

For those who like military stuff, let's not forget that X-Plane also has the chance to model guns, bombs, rockets etc... (not my genre, honestly, but it may please a lot of you...)

The developers just have to take the plunge...

Some info I missed:

"There’s good news on the horizon from JARDesign with their Airbus A320neo. I’ve been informed by Eugeny Romanov that the team is testing the A320neo version 2.0. Important to mention is that this updated version will be free to registered users.

Here’s an list of the improvements:

- Camera Shake effect

- Hold (Computed Hold) function add to FMGS

- Full custom PFD

- ISIS (electronic standby at front panel)

- Full custom Autopilot

- DCDU at front panel (show metar info for DEP and ARR airports)

- Dynamic Rain effect (FPS friendly) at cockpit windows

- FollowMe car will be integrated into distributive pack"

Great to hear it's free for current customers! And a working DCDU, to get METAR's!

"free to registered users" the best part of the announcement.

I can really recommend this plane. It has turned out to be a real gem. At first when I got it I wasn't too impressed, however the patches have kept coming and with it significant improvements. It also seems like the devs listen to customer feedback. Now it's up there as one of my favourites. These news made it even better for me.
