Yes .. it's framerate friendly.

I'll get all the KingAirs that Carenado care to make ... and if Flight1 decides to join the party, I'll get theirs as well.

The 757 I'll get maybe next year .. I don't enjoy tubeliners quite as much, regional and bush flying for me!

Hey Alex, is it frame rate friendly? Cause if it is, I will get it by the weekend.

Yes Carlos very fps friendly, just like any other Carenado aircraft.

How is the system depth and flight dynamics?

I can not tell my own experience, but point you to statements by other users.

In the Aerosoft forum, one user who knows twin turboprops from reality and in the past was quite critical, has made several flights for testing the performance and flight dynamics. He writes (shortened, in German):

viel mer als Default Funktionen kann ich nicht erkennen. Das ACP hätte schon noch ein paar Funktionen mehr, die nicht umgesetzt sind und auch das Avidyne ist eine gewöhnliche Map-Darstellung. Das EFIS bietet in etwas die Anzeigemöglicheiten, die wir vom ASPEN in der B36 kennen. (...)

http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/75620-carenado-c90b-king-air-released/#entry539723

Translation:

I don't see more than default functions. The ACP would have some more functions which are not modelled, and the Avidyne is a standard map view. The EFIS has similar possibilities as the Aspen in the Beechcraft A36. (...) The text lables (in the Avidyne) are VERY small, so you need to zoom in very much to recognize anything. (...) I can't see systems depths that goes beyond X-Plane default functions.

Personally, from screenshots, I think the Avidyne is NOT an X-Plane default map, but custom (esp. if it's similar to the A36, which was custom, too).

However, the same user later wrote a VERY positive thing:

Ich habe eine Reihe von Messflügen gemacht. Ich habe festgestellt, dass die Verbrauchszahlen und Leistungskennzahlen sehr genau mit den Tabellen übereinstimmen! Die Abweichungen sind in den allermeisten Fällen <2%, was einer sehr guten Umsetzung entspricht.

Translation:

I made a series of measurement flights. I noticed that the consumption numbers and performance data conform to the tables very precisely! Differences are in most case < 2%, which means very good modelling.

The same user reports that currently the airspeed instrument has a little bug (for 29.92 in/HG it shows 1010 HP, but it should show 1013 HP), and another user, at .org, reports oil temperature discrepancies: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=71985 But I think these are bugs which will be ironed out when the aircraft is available from other vendors.

So, all in all even critical users are fond of the C90B, and my impression is that this might well be Carenado's best airplane for X-Plane so far -- I'm looking forward flying it.

I've found some other very positive forum reports regarding systems depth:

check out the fuel system in the King Air; the wing/nacelle tank logic is simulated, as well as the real-life transfer pump operation to move fuel between the two.  And the crossfeed logic and boost pumps are correct, too. (...) It's actually all automatic so you don't have to worry about it if you don't want to.  But if you know how the real system works, you'll find it's all there in the model too!

Also, in videos you can see polarized windows (not just on/off, but stepless), and note the animated switches (again not just on/off, but smoothly changing).

Is there a way of turning on the switches text labels and the console switches? It's really difficult to see them at night. Thanks,

On the overhead panel there are many different light switches which you can turn to "bright". I think that one of them will also illuminate the panel, so you can better read.

Could test the C90B by myself now. Very well done. Made some pictures and posted them here:

I already tested each overhead switch with no luck, it seems that only that big master light switch turns on all lights but not the ones I mentioned, anyway many thanks for your help.

I tested again. You're right, it's hard to read in the night, because the text is shown black. During daytime, the text is shown white.

Heading to Mexico City MMMX, in my brand new C90...boy I'm I enjoying XP10!!!

It amazes me that with my old pc specs (in today's standards, its really old) I can enjoy a fluid, stutter free, nice eye candy, steady 30fps, crashless flight. I mean I'm still running 800MHz memory with a Phenom processor and a 560ti video card, Can you believe that!!!.

I can't wait for Ben to start optimizing/tweaking XP's code, that alone will keep me from spending $$ on a new video card/mobo/cpu...lol

Bring it LR!

Cheers Carenado, LR, Ben, and everyone else involved!

Wow Carlos, beautiful screenshot. It almost looks real, it's eery.

Yes it does Michel!

Here are a couple more with RW!

Yes, I can believe it ;) I'm flying with an 8 GB RAM, i5 CPU and 2 GB GT530 video card, and still happy with it: As long as my framerates are > 19 FPS in HDR, everything is fine. But of course I need to turn down settings, i.e. no AA, no global shadows (only inside the airplane), no water reflections most of the time, and lower resolution.

Only for screenshots, when I want to present how beautiful X-Plane can look like, I increase the settings. :D
