November 22, 201312 yr Commercial Member I said that it is useless because there are no charts available for it, either in Navigraph, or free in the internet. Not everyone cares about charts you know. Personally I really don't bother looking at them when I fly.
November 22, 201312 yr ZSSH is useless since: 1. Navigraph does not have it in its charts. Its not hard to add that data in the database... Just edit the txt file with the ICAO code, the Lat Long coordinates and other data. This may not be as exciting as some of the larger airports around the world, but for a Chinese man like me, it's more exciting than ever! Thank you Brenchen, Please keep posting any new sceneries in China and Asia as a whole. I am also interested in India airports. This area needs more addons. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 22, 201312 yr Author Thank you Brenchen, Please keep posting any new sceneries in China and Asia as a whole. I am also interested in India airports. This area needs more addons. Thank you India you know A_A (Thai creations) has a few good quality ones around, you can find them on simmarket I believe. The latest one is Mumbai released in July, I personally haven't got it, I got another one of theirs and was very impressed. RE SID/STAR, here I attach a file of the extract of NAIP's data for ZSSH for your needs. At this point, it's only for PMDG (as it's the most common used in China). Original file is of courtesy of VATSIM China (VATPRC). Note that by itself alone it may not work, not sure if you can figure out a way to incorporate it into PMDG's files. But if you can, good luck. Speak up if you don't know what to do with it but want to know. I'm sure many here including myself will be able to help you. Attachment: Brendan Chen Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

Attachment: ZSSH.txt Thank you. But we also need a few more numbers: - airport elevation - coordinates for the airport reference point (aka the ZSSH waypoint) - coordinates for the two runway thresholds (04 and 22) (also frequency and courses for the ILS 04 and the VOR - also coordinates and names for them, and whether they include DME or not) Of course, the above can be taken from the airport's AFCAD (using ADEX for example). (I assume the airport does have an AFCAD, correct) Now, given your TXT file, it should also work in Aviasoft EFB (essentially they use the PMDG data format with some extra data in it). Now, I am thinking very seriously to buy it. Thank you India you know A_A (Thai creations) has a few good quality ones around, you can find them on simmarket I believe. Regarding Pudong, IIRC someone was onto it, another freeware I believe (for the same reasons mentioned), but I'm not too familiar with their progress. Or there was one non Chinese developer that I think is working on a payware pudong or Beijing, again I can't remember for sure. November 23, 201312 yr Author Very good! Thanks for the requirements, I'll dig them up for you... ======== ten minutes later ======== Elevation ARP - airports.datZSSH 33.790889 119.125083 Threshold - wpnavapt.txtHUAIAN ZSSH04 07874041 33.782152 119.117442108.7004100034 HUAIAN ZSSH22 07874221 33.799618 119.132710000.0022100034 Frequency ~~~ Look at charts for yourself... Anyway, I was able to source the charts for ZSSH for your needs. As I said, it's an internal airport (ie it only exists in NAIP), therefore the charts are in Chinese. I'm sure you'll be smart enough to work out which line goes where and what the numbers mean. One thing though, China uses metric levels (ie 900 = 4900ft) and distance in KM in case you didn't and need to know to decipher the charts. Happy flying! November 23, 201312 yr Thank you. I took the liberty of preparing what has to be added into wpNavAID.txt: HUAIAN HUN VORD 33.775000 119.111667113.30T ZSSH ILS RW04 IHA ILS 33.782152 119.117442108.70T HUAIAN ILS RW04 IHA ILSD 33.782152 119.117442108.70T - I assumed the VOR/DME's coordinates are the same with the HUN waypoint in your ZSSH.txt sidstars file you provided above. I just used a worksheet to convert the coordinates from degrees-decimal-minutes-seconds to decimal - Since there is no data for the exact location of the ILS (actually it's only the DME portion of the ILS/DME that matters) I entered the runway 04 threshold coordinates (from your data above), because according to the charts you provided, the DME is located about 370.4m (0.2nm) after the runway threshold. So this would have to do, until we find the exact coordinates from somewhere. Thank you again, sir.

There's a free Chinese airport pack that regular pilots use including myself. It's nothing spectacular but it's an improvement over the existing scenery - noticeable improvement. Also there is a very nice Chengdu in the works right now that I'm very excited about. And there are other airports such as Kunming, Jiuzhai, Urumqi, Lahsa etc. Some of them is FSX (lite versions - developers can only do it lite because their machine can't really run FSX), and some is FS9 and claimed to be able to port to FSX no problems. I guess we could make you our China FSX expert lol Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk No worries lol... Sceneries are all over the place, except all within locked Chinese forums which do not support any form of English. They may be good or not so good, some is just total rubbish. But essentially VATPRC is the only credable connection between the large'ish Chinese FS community which do do some good work on sceneries etc, as the peers that VATPRC is aimed at are both local/Chinese and foreign community. December 6, 201312 yr Brenchen, any idea where I can find the old Canton (Guangzhou) ZGGX airport for FSX? Doesn't have to be fancy at all.

I am not so sure whether there is any available, just curious as to why you want something like that? Most people would want the new one... Brendan Chen Learning to use and getting use to FSX!
December 6, 201312 yr Fair enough question! The VA that I fly for has some historical routes and one of them is ZGGX to VHHX, the ol/d Kai Tek. I could have some fun with that.
