November 26, 201312 yr Yes you can.. Undock (right click on it, choose undock) the new window and drag it on over.. It's simple Like this Or put whatever else on the secondary monitors. Only minor issue is sometimes the taskbar won't get hidden on one.. No biggie Thanks for taking the time to show those pics Bill, appreciated. Cheers... November 26, 201312 yr Enabling Aero has fixed my (ATI) vysnc too ...... but possibly at a slight performance cost to FSX ...... so in other words, I am probably going to have to enable / disable Aero, before lauching P3D / FSX accordingly.
November 26, 201312 yr Can you just like in FSX enable VSync 1/2 in NI, and will it work the same? Arjen Vandervelde
November 26, 201312 yr Commercial Member I stand corrected on having 2d panels open on other monitors; I was simply used to the fashion in which I simply dragged an open panel to a different screen - I missed the 'undock' requirement. That does indeed work. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
December 1, 201312 yr Sorry to hijack this thread, but I was wondering if anyone who is running panels on a second monitor (and you all really seem to know what you're doing with regards to this) might have experienced an issue I'm having with low frame rates, or have any idea as to its cause. A description of my issue is http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=3953
December 1, 201312 yr After some initial disappointments and some initial happy moments I think that I can say P3D could be a keeper (because 1. the autogen doesn't popup anymore (yihaaa!), 2. texture loading is clearly better, 3. VC shadows are great (better than with the DX10 Fixer in FSX because they are more clear and obvious, which I love) and 4. if performance is good (and my settings are moderate), it is utterly and totally smooth)... ...BUT... there is ONE thing that's spoiling the entire experience at this moment: the lack of Vsync. It just won't work on my GTX580. And I don't only have terrible tearing but also the associated 'wobbling' of everything I see down there. It's bloody awful. Anyone else here who had the same problem but managed to fix it? If this can be fixed I think P3D is a keeper, even though I am slightly disappointed that I can't use all those great shadow options which I was looking forward too... but that was to be expected so I won't moan about that too much. Oh, almost forgot... AA is also rather crappy. It's not on par with what I had with FSX. Too many moving pixels in the distance and that's with the highest possible ingame settings (flying at 1920x1080). So if you know how to solve that too, please tell! Jeroen I can help you with your vsync and performance easy pm me ;-) André
