Hello everyone :)If Im doing something wrong flying the Project Fokker 70/100 then I cant figure out what it is thats causing this to happen: the *entire* tailplane tilts forward.When I load the plane the tailplane works normally with just the elevators moving up and down (as they should). As time passes the *entire* tailplane assembly flips down. Screenshots below...Any ideas! Thank you :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/100828.jpg

Could it be the result of trimming the plane?Simpitedit: Just checked - the trim will move the tail surfaces. Quite cool, actually!

I dont know, I shall try the trim though - thanks!But look at this screenshot, the tail looks broken! At this point flying is impossible and it just dives into the ground. I dont know what causes it!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/100831.gif

That is the result of having the pitch FULLY UP... The aircraft.cfg shows the upper elevator_trim_limit=24.324 degrees, which seems rather excessive for any aircraft... :-hmmm I've changed all three aircraft.cfg files to elevator_trim_limit=15.00 and that seems much better to me... :)

Do you have the autopilot on? It may be trimming to get you up to altitude... try turning it off.

The entire assembly pivots based on the trim setting from what I've seen. Sounds like the trim's going a bit to the extreme...-John

Many a/c use a stabilator for trim control. That's the reason for the huge "bubble" at the top. It's the housing for the trim mechanism.Simply make the very minor correction to the elevator_trim_limit that I posted and the problem will go away... :)

Have you seen the pilots in the plane? Nothing that happens with them there could be a surprise. I'm going to check mine out now.
