February 24, 201412 yr I had the same issue. I went by the "book" on how to disable a/p and a/t. Nothing worked, I could click the master, but it wouldn't shut up...I fixed it by a complete re-install. PS, I also know of an issue with cargo doors not shutting. You can click the button in the FMC, but it doesn't shut them or say that it is "closing".

Hi, Daniel, If the engines are on -- even one I believe - the cargo doors won't close, presumably to simulate crew not going near the aircraft at ground level with engines running. March 13, 201412 yr Same issue, here, I have flown over 500 hrs and completed about 100 landings on PMDG 777, used Boeing Official CBT, Angle of Attack training, etc - so it should not be me, who is creating the problem here. Although, on some flights, the master warning just wont go off. There is no indication of any problem, failures are clean, settings are ok, but the siren just continues.Only solution seems to be a complete power off (end even it doesn't help sometimes) or some other "sound", like fire test (sometimes helps, sometimes not). So to sum up:1. Today on an arrival to EGLL on FLCH mode I got an overspeed warning - my problem (most probably due to "throttle noise").2. Got the speed back to "normal range" - the siren remained on3. Got rid of the siren by pressing fire test in flight4. On approach, after autopilot disconnect the siren went on BUT did not go off after numerous AP disconnects. (it seems that the same "not-resettable (overspeed) warning came back)5. It remained on ... at gate ... made the video.6. Siren went off after removing External power and when aircraft was on battery only. It is extremely annoying with ATC, and PMDGs statment that "customers are stupid and should read manuals style" is not helping here. Good thing is that I have seen this problem only 3-4 times over more than 500hrs. PMDG should accept that there is a bug in the system. Not real issues - please don't repost these: - Master warning siren/wailer doesn't turn off. This is a realistic feature that is an option on the airplane. Look for RESETTABLE SIREN in the EQUIPMENT section of the aircraft options in the FMC. With respect to the autopilot disconnect form of this sound, it takes two presses of the AP disconnect button/key to silence it. The second press must come at least 1.5 seconds after the first. Again, accurate to the real world airplane. Heigo Tomba
August 19, 201411 yr I think that this maybe be related to the sound configuration on machine. I started to have this problem that the AP wailer won't go silent even with a 1000 presses. I didnt have this problem prior to installing the 5.1 sound set. If I do the 2 presses quickly and the wailer doesn't go off, that's not a problem. The only was to silence it was to go to the sound settings in the FMS, then changing the sound device to a different one, then back again to the default device. That's pretty troublesome when flying online with atc. Ahmed Abdessalam "That which means you can't, doesn't mean you ain't. And that which means you ain't, doesn't mean you can't" -Ahmed Abdessalam
August 20, 201411 yr Are you guys clicking twice on the yoke disconnect button to silence the alarm for auto pilot off and twice on the throttle auto disconnect button for the auto throttle off to silence the alarms I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

Good thing is that I have seen this problem only 3-4 times over more than 500hrs. PMDG should accept that there is a bug in the system. First, they never said people were stupid. They just had a ton of reports of false bugs, so they made that post. If you have a legitimate bug, then submit a report. They'll listen. If you haven't submitted a report, then you really have no legs to stand on and are just complaining to feel the satisfaction of being a martyr for a bit. That gets nobody anywhere and just makes you look a little foolish, honestly... Kyle Rodgers
August 21, 201411 yr To everyone who asked whether we are hitting the AP disconnect button twice, I didn't have the time to go into length and explain in details: I have chosen the 2 press option and performing two presses works perfectly. The problem which started either after the installation of SP1b or after configuring 5.1 sound on my computer is that if I press the disengage button on my yoke once, the walier sound starts which makes sense, but there's no way to disable that wailer by a thousand more presses on the disengage button and even by reengaging the auto-pilot, nothing works other than changing the sound device to let's say the HDMI yhen back to the default one through the fms sound options page. Looks like a bug to me and I shall be logging a ticket if no one rlse has done so. Ahmed Abdessalam "That which means you can't, doesn't mean you ain't. August 21, 201411 yr So in other words....click, click....all is fine. But.....click....wait for wailer......click.......and you can not shut the wailer up anymore? That does sound like a bug related to 5.1 Because I have not seen the problem and I use 2xpress as well. (I use Bose USB PC speakers that simulate surround sound but that is not the same as true 5.1) Rob Robson
August 21, 201411 yr That may require more research then if it is a 5.1 bug. I think I will just go by the quick two presses, the wailer and siren always disturb my baby's sleep lol.
