January 1, 201412 yr I had track IR 2 and finally gave up. Never got it to work real well in the sim. Is Track IR 5 an improvement?
January 1, 201412 yr Having never used TrackIR 2, I cannot address that part of the question. I do use TrackIR 5 however, and it works great! John John Wingold
February 5, 201412 yr Hello, John. Just started using XPX. TrackIR5 is working fine with the cockpit view (Shift+9), but does not work with any of the other outside views. Did you get it to work with the outside views? Thanks....
February 5, 201412 yr Outside views are disabled with TrackIR. You can still go outside with those commands and use arrow keys to go around and someone has said that you can hold the right mouse key and look around (haven't tried that). You can stick your head "out the window or over the top" and look around, but that's not very realistic. I don't do much outside stuff because most flying I have done in real life was inside! If you go into XPX without TrackIR activated, you can use the views - but I guess you knew that... John John Wingold
February 5, 201412 yr If you use the PilotView plugin with TrackIR you can create presets which position your head outside of the plane, and use that to simulate the various external views.
February 5, 201412 yr Get the Pilotview plugin Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
February 5, 201412 yr Get the Pilotview plugin +1 If you are used to TrackIR in FSX then you should lower your expectation for TrackIR in X-plane10 It will take quite a bit of fiddling to get it to work well. I never have. TrackIR is better in FSX but you will certainly need pilotview plugin. Don't even try to us it without that plugin.
February 5, 201412 yr I find it works exactly the same in X-plane 10 as it does in FSX, with the right piilotview settings.....
February 5, 201412 yr Only works in the cockpit, but I really like it LUIS LINARES Processor: Intel Core i9 6700K 9900K (5.0 GHz Turbo) Eight Core; CPU Cooling: NXXT Kraken X62 280mm CPU Liquid Cooler; System Memory: 64GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM @ 3200 MHz, RGB; Graphics Processor: 11GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GDDR6, Primary Drive: 2TB Samsung 850 Pro Solid State Drive (SSD)
