Thanks Rob for those shots. Really don't want to go back to FSX, and XP10 still looks dull to me. My only hope is P3D, and I really hope they fix this LOD issue.

Maybe not, but, bear in mind to cover the entire UK could well be over 2TB... which is pretty vast for one country :O

Those shots above highlight the lower LOD's far more... the messy English landscape hides it more effectively.

...and a pretty small country at that! :). I am looking forward to this though, even if I have to buy lots more storage :P

Novation may I ask how is your photo scenery so sharp looking? I also noticed that Rob's shot that the MSE scenery looks a lot blurrier in P3D. In FSX its pretty sharp.

This is really bothering me and I can't seem to figure out why my textures are so blurry when using photo scenery in P3D. Could it be the way I'm layering things in my scenery library? I don't think it has to do with my settings as I believe I set everything up accordingly. But no matter what I do, I can't get sharp looking photo scenery at all.

Does the MIPBIAS tweak work in P3D2 like it did in FSX?

I really don't know... I'm not doing anything different or special between sims.

I'm sure it has little affect, but I always run the scenery texture resolution higher than the actual res of the textures, so running 1.2m or 60cm photoscenery I set the slider to 30cm. The Horizon devs once said this put a higher priority into loading the textures, but whether this is fact, or applies to P3D I don't know.

In my tests I see little difference between FSX & P3D at equivalent settings... if anything P3D looks that bit crisper in the region close to the AC, but that may be due to the higher contrast P3D dispays scenery at.
