Ngx and Fsuipc

Hi all

Don't know if this is me or an ngx thing

I have 2 problems that I can't think why its doing this, I should note I have a full registered copy of fsuipc

prob1

I have one of the buttons on my Saitek yoke set for elev trim down and another for elev trim up I've checked my settings several times to make sure both buttons are set exactly the same except ones up and ones down, but my elev trim down button stops working once it gets to the edge of the green band,if for any reason I wanted to move it further then I have to click on the trim wheel to increase the nose down attitude, however my elev trim up button will give me full elev trim ie outside the green band.

Any idea why this is,or is it an ngx thing?

prob2

I have one of the buttons on my Saitek yoke set to apply park brakes, but on selection I can hear the park brake noise of application but the brakes do not come on.

I can apply them with the keyboard command but not using fsuipc

although in fsuipc I have the park brake assigned to a button that works fine with all my other pmdg aircraft

thanks for any advice

thought of that but how do I delete just one key command or do I have to delete them all and start again?

Just go to the buttons/swithes tab and press the button you wish to use. Then on the left side of the tab tick the box for "select for key press" and allocate the Ctrl-. (or whatever the key presses are for parking brakes in FSX....I still use FS9). It will replace your existing assignment.

If you use "aircraft specific" or profiles , make sure you have the correct one selected.

Thanks will try it

Does anyone have an answer for problems 1?

cheers

Pete,

Unfortunately I haven't got an answer, but thought you might like to know that I found the same issue last night.  This was the 738 WL with Air Pacific livery on a 1.5h flight from YSNF to NZAA, payload about 13800 kg, fuel 6600 kg.  Trim setting was calculated by the FMC as 3.5, but with the Trim Down button I assigned on my CH Products yoke I couldn't get down beyond about 4.5.  Like you I had to move the trim wheel further with the mouse to get to the setting I needed.  It's not a biggie - only a bit irritating - but I'd also like to know if there is a way around this (or what I did wrong, which is more likely !).

Cheers,
Emile Bax.

Well this is strange

I've tried removing the whole profile and starting again but I still have no joy with this,I've checked using just the fsx option on the keyboard NUM 7 in my case and this also stops at the edge of the green band

I've removed the fsx key command still same.So using either the keyboard on its own or fsuipc on its own or both assigned at the same time, the elev trim stops at the edge of the green band.If I want it any further nose down I have to use the mouse on the control wheel.

Out of curiosity I tried it with the pmdg 777 and I get the same problem, stops at the top of green band.

I tried this with another aircraft  a2a Cessna and settings used are exactly the same but I get full trim in both directions,so I'm guessing this might be a boeing or pmdg thing

If any of the Pmdg boys read this perhaps the can answer,if not i'll raise a ticket

just for info I have the controls set for the 737-8 wl at the moment

thanks

The main thing is, does the trim do what it's supposed to do.  I haven't checked the trim travel on the 738, but it trims correctly when I use the switches whether nose up in climbing or on approach when I want to set the attitude and rate of descent.  I assume it is all in the green

Hi Rob

Yes it all works in the correct orientation  but using the num button or trim button for a nose down attitude using it stops at the end of the green band

if I want a nose up attitude using the trim button I can take it all the way past the green band

I have a similar trim problem with a CH yoke and FSUIPC. Most of the time, the yoke button I've assigned to change trim does nothing while I'm on the ground - I have to use my mouse to set trim.  But once airborne, the button works fine. Quirky but woeks out in the end

I am also having a problem with FSUIPC and the NGX. I assigned the throttles to #1 and #2 seperately through FSUIPC, and turned them off in FSX. I am using the TM Warthog.

Before I changed to FSUIPC axis assignment I could move the throttles while AT was engaged to match position without effecting the AT....now when I move them the actual throttles move and cancel auto throttle? (I have the option set to disable overriding the autothrottle - but it still does?)

Anything I am missing here - or is it just a bug with assigning throttles in FSUIPC?   The major benefit of using FSUIPC is that I can use the lower lift-detent button on the throttle levers for the reversers and it actually works properly(repeats). This is not possible to do in FSX even with full repeat on.
